Barbeque Burgers Salad

Ordered the OG Fries, they came in a plate of grease. Also ordered chicken strips, they waited until they brought out the rest of our food to tell us they were out. My husband ordered a bacon cheddar burger, said it tasted like a pre-made patty, was more bun than anything else. Bartender didn’t know what a Lynchburg Lemonade was. Broccoli salad was good. Disappointed to say the least since we’ve waited so long to try. ??‍♀️

This is my new go to place. The tri-tip is amazing!! Especially if you like the charred crust. I can't get enough of it. I have tried one of their hamburgers which was great, the steak sandwich, I love the roasted vegetables they're cooked perfectly. I haven't tried their salads yet but I'm making my way through their menu and there's really only been one thing I didn't like which was their apple slaw, to me it didn't have hardly any apples and too much Mayo. But then again that is preference. The large Bavarian pretzel was awesome. It was soft and tender and the beer cheese is to die for. The food is just awesome here.

This is a casual, order at the counter kind of place. They have a bar but they don't ring you up or take your order there. So order both alcohol and food at the counter, then take your order number to the bar or to your seat. We sat at the bar. They have limited selection of wines and beer, no liquor. The restaurant was clean and really well decorated inside. The food was good too. My husband is a BBQ conasuir and he loved the tri tip platter. I ordered the chicken with beans and mac and cheese as sides. All was very delicious and way more than I could eat. I had difficulty deciding we food item I should prioritize given that I was getting full. All was so good. They have a little area where you can load up on condiments, including 3 different BBQ sauces. We took home what we didn't eat and I was happy to see they use paper containers, not styrofoam.

It opened recently and we hadn't tried it yet. We went for happy hour at 3. I signed up for their points thing on line and got a free tri-tip bites, which was delicious. Also had rib bites and my husband had tri-tip sandwich... everything was delicious!! Service was great and restaurant was nice and clean. Definitely recommend to everyone!!!

So we just ordered a meal for mother's day. While the service when ordering was good, our food was cold when we got home (we live 5 minutes away). We were waiting right in front of the register for about 30 minutes. We went up to ask how much longer our food would be only to find out our food had been sitting on the counter for who knows how long. When asked how long it had been ready we were told "Oh I am not sure. The bag feels warm." Our name was never called out. Very disappointing stating we spent $85+ for cold food.

Tried this location for the first time today, I've been sorely craving a new BBQ place closer to home, and this one is just down the street for me. Needless to say I'm amazed. I ordered the Tri-Tip Burger, had just the burger patty, tri-tip and added cheddar cheese and ketchup (I'm a pretty plain eater). And my god did it blow my mind. The Tri-tip was so tender and juicy, the burger was cooked to perfection, and the cheese and bun was delicious. It was absolutely fantastic and so, so tasty. I was so torn on what to get initially because all the items look so tasty, and I was planning to try a new dish next time I visit, but I liked this burger so much I don't know if I can switch now! LOL.The building is in a great spot, right off the roundabout so people will see it, it has ample room indoors with a high vaulted ceiling, 2 huge TV's over the bar, great spacious seating inside and an awesome patio area for outdoor seating as well. Cute, Quaint, and Straight to the point. Everything was super clean when I visited to pick-up my order, and the wall to wall windows allowed a LOT of natural light to fill the building.I used to go to Dickie's BBQ, and there will always be a soft spot in my heart for that place, though it's across town, has been having staffing issues and stock issues and I feel bad because this place has won me over and I probably will go here first over Dickie's now. Lol. I hope this location stays! We sorely have needed a good BBQ place on this side of Rocklin for a long time now! This one has my vote as a local!Great job guys!

Tried twice and both times the food was cold. Asked to have it redone and second round was cold too.

I ordered online and went to pick up my food. The lady who brought me my order assured me everything was there and when I got home I found my onion strings were missing, the vegetables were not fully cooked, there was no bbq sauce and the food was ice cold. When I called the manager, said she couldn’t refund me for the missing item and she would give me a credit - her reasoning made no sense and she just blamed it on the owners. She also said their online ordering system didn’t let customers ask for bbq sauce so they don’t include any. Overall it was such a disappointing meal especially for the price. It also felt like the staff just wanted to pass blame and had no interest in making it right (refunding me my money, not giving me a credit). Beware when ordering takeout from this place!

I rarely give out low scores because most businesses really do try to make one's experience worthwhile and pleasant. While the food was perfectly fine, the ordering process upon entering was significantly below standard. First time customers, we came in at a time (past the lunch rush and before the dinner blitz) where we were literally the only ones needing to place a food order -- Buckhorn's was nearly empty. Despite that, the lady behind the counter immediately made us feel as if we were a great burden to serve. She was displeased to answer a single question about salad and made it abundantly clear we were tedious customers and that we needed to step it up. One would have thought a line of belligerent, hungry people had formed behind us. It was all very off-putting and we won't be back. As I noted, I very rarely give low marks but did want to give my honest assessment of Buckhorn's on Sierra College.

This place has great food...good quality meats. Prices are also reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back! ?
