Great place to have tacos in downtown riverside. Food menu is very unique. Tacos are amazing. I also tried some of the street foods. The hot dog was amazing. We had a great time. Beer menu is huge and have a bunch of local beers on draft. Staff is also very good and help with the huge selection of beers. I was visiting from out of state. Definitely a place to hit if your in the area.
We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Large menu with a great selection of foods. We started with Corn in a cup and two ice cold beers. For lunch my wife had a Chili Verde wet Burrito and I had Chili Quillies, rice, beans and two eggs over easy on top. Everything was delicious. Briana was very welcoming and told us all about the restaurant and made suggestions on different plates for us to try. A hip and comfortable location with great music playing for your in joyment. Stop in and enjoy yourselves.
Good service, good selection of beers- one star for each.Don’t get the elote- it’s extremely flavorless and too expensive for such a small amount; the entire menu seems overpriced.The beer has more flavor than the food.It feels like someone with a lot of money basically bought this space and decided to make money off of a cuisine/ food that’s suppose to be rich in flavor but they really missed the “rich in flavor” mark.

The food is delicious! I feel that at the price point the tacos should have a little more portion. Overall, I was pleased and may go again. Definitely try the braised and confused tacos at least once. Next time I am trying a burrito.
I have been here several time and the food and service are consistently great every time, great place to hang out and have a cold beer with friends
We decided to try the restaurant, but, had a terrible experience. Rude staff and mediocre food. No wonder it was empty. Taquitos tasted re-heated and were missing the guacamole that the cashier said came with it. The server contradicted and said it didn't come with it. She eventually brought it. Same with drinks. One said they served red and white wine, then said only white wine. Unacceptable service, will never return.
this place is hella hard to find. had one of the most frustrating moments ever circling the vicinity over and over again until I had enough and just decided the tacos just weren't worth all the difficulty. so I gave up and called to cancel my order. sorry guys but I bet Retro Taco loses lots of business due to people not being able to locate the restaurant. won't ever attempt to locate this place. ?
Retro Taco is amazing. Their food is almost 100% unique, only a handful of "staples" that you would expect to find, yet somehow every unique dish I have tried here knocks it out of the park. They offer a frequently changing selection of 30 (give or take) beers, exceptional service even with the impacts of covid on restaurant staffing, and food to write home about. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
I was drawn to this place for the blue corn tortillas, and these tacos were the bomb, try them with the red salsa ?? aguas frescas and corn on a cup are also great ?? very friendly staff too
