Fatherâs Day. Put ourselves on priority waitlist. Got to restaurant 10 minutes prior to said time to arrive. Hostess said there would be a 45 minute wait. Understood since it was Fatherâs Day. The person in front of us when we checked in was not on priority list, they put him down on wait list, said it would be 1 hr and 45 minute wait for him. He had a large party and said to hostess that if they get seated early thereâs $20 in it for her and her server will get tipped big! I went to hostess when I knew my 45 minutes of waiting was up to check on our status. Hostess said we were next to be seated. Well, she seated 2 other parties including the large party mentioned above. Although our wait was not uncommon, it was not a professional move on the part of the hostess. Granted, our service was impeccable and we want to commend Shyla for taking good care of us. Her service recovery was top notch!
Wonderful waitress for our party of 9.
Came in on a Saturday night at 4:45pm and there was more staff than customers and only about 6 tables filled, yet for some reason it took 15 minutes to get seated. Then, it was another 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order. It turns out we were seated in one of the many empty sections, but the server for the area we were seated in was on break. Now that's some wise hosting there. Definitely will not co.e back to this location. 3 managers in the building and they still can't manage to get this place in order and functioning properly. Bacon-wrapped scallops are horrible. Just FYI. Mainly because they can't cook them right. They were not golden brown. They were white and barely warm. I ordered loaded mashed potatoes and they forgot to make them loaded so the waitress brought out the toppings in little cups and I had to assemble my loaded potatoes. Good lord. The bacon Mac and cheese is ok, the steak was cooked to the right temp but the lobster tail was cold. Overall, my daughter and I both agreed not to come back here, ever.
The only plus I can give this restaurant is the hostess told us at first, the wait for our family of 16 was about 1 hour and 45 minutes. But instead, they were able to seat us at a table in one hour. For a Friday night, that wasn't too bad. But after that, it goes downhill. They were short staffed, took awhile to get our food, service was very slow. We had a large family of 16 and only one server. She seemed inexperienced and new at her job. I won't say her name because she wasn't rude, just not the greatest at her job. She had a difficult time taking care of us. No one was helping her, she was all alone. But, giving her the benefit of the doubt, even though my family did not agree, I still gave her a good tip and it was even more than 20%. I am not that type of customer that doesn't tip. Honestly though, she could have made way more that evening if she had been more experienced at her job and carried a little bit of a conversation with us. But she seemed really nervous and overwhelmed. We were there for over 2 and a 1/2 hours due to the slow service, when it should have been about an hour at the most. The only time the service seemed fast, was when it was time to pay the bill. And for that, she stayed close by and waited for me to pay. And dinner was not cheap! I don't mind paying when the service is worth the money. This time though, it was not. Sadly, we won't be coming here again. The manager did come by to ask how things were for us but that was about 30 minutes after we had sat down. We told him all was fine at that time. Yet, he really should have waited and came over when we were about to leave, we would have then given him a different answer. I thought it was also sad that I saw the managers of the restaurant hanging out and talking to each other throughout the evening but didn't help the server who was taking care of us. If I saw that my employee was struggling or overwhelmed, as a manager, I would have helped her out or had another server assist her with her table. I thought that was cold-hearted to leave her struggling the way she was.Honestly, this was the worst service we have had at a restaurant. I hate to say that but it's the truth. We have had large family dinners at other restaurants and never had any issues. The servers were always able to take care of us without any concerns whatsoever. But this Red Lobster location? Very disappointing at how bad the service was. I regret coming here with my family. Wish we had went somewhere else because we spent a good amount of money at that visit and yet, it was not worth the money we spent.Lesson learned.
Just went for dinner. Was seated right away. Service and food was good.
The food was great. I enjoyed the shrimps and the broccoli was cooked good. The waitress was very pleasant. Thanks for everything Red Lobster
Lacked flavor, our table was getting over crowded with empty dishes and drink refills to too long. Pasta and side sauces were watered and no flavor.
I ordered all you can eat shrimp. If you order the skewers on 1st round you get rice with it. On the refill no rice. Waitress didn't explain that before ordered. I asked for the rice on the reorder since I didn't initially get it. Tha Waitress said I have to pay. I asked for a manager. Instead of the manager coming to see what I needed, she sent the Waitress to me with one scoop of rice. How insulting. I asked once again for the manager to come see what she brought. Her explanation oh that's how much you get with the skewers. I explain that's not true, for her to look at the other tables plate. She was lost for words. How sad to lose a customer over a scoop of rice. Don't go to red lobster across from Kaiser in Riverside.
We went April Sunday the 24th around 1:45-2pm to the riverside location and the place was pretty empty. The server seemed annoyed, she brought us the wrong drinks, she forgot to bring us utensils so we couldn't eat right away. We ordered drinks and brought us something different. The food had no flavor, and was chewy, the steak was raw. When the server brought us our food, she left the empty table/tray in front of us blocking my husband in the booth while she disappeared to the back.We spent 104$ for 2 people and was extremely disappointed, we asked for a manager and she said she didn't know where they were in a annoyed voice.I haven't been able to call them about it because the next morning I was feeling extremely sick.I will not be back and will never recommend this location to anyone.
We were told that they where short staffed and a little busy. So that being said, the food was over cooked and dry, and sorry to say tasteless. Never had this problem before there, so lm going to chalk it up to a bad day and keep moving forward. I will say the service was spot on and I couldn't ask for a better waitress. This is life and some days are just off.
