We were starving, but 1st turn off was the bathroom smell coming into the eating area, second was the waitress was cleaning up the tables banging dishes (rudely), then she finally came over to take our order and had an attitude no smiles not welcoming , either her feet were hurting or she did not want to be at work..we finally got our food and 1 shrimp order was wrong had to re order, the FOOD itself was delicious HATS off to the cook ...but the service in the front was horrible no one came to our table and asked if we needed any refills and so forth... ugly service except for the delicious food.. need to change the customer serivce part of the restaurant ....
I love their Pho...!!! We visit Pho Star Bowl several times a week and are treated like family. Everything on the menu is a winner. Great... quick service by staff. The interior with personal artwork by the owner makes the dining experience that much greater. Going back tonight.
I live in the area. I eat here often for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious and well priced. My family always order the noodle with BBQ pork. I also love the wall arts. The restaurant is located in the Kinco/KFC shopping center.
Such a hidden gem within a small plaza across the street from the nearby Tyler Mall. We were so happy that we went to this place on an early October weekend. Colorful Hollywood pictures adorn the walls. Service was great and attentive. Food was served fast. Vegetarian egg rolls were so good. My vegetarian pho was flavorful and enough for two meals. My husband had Banh Mi and it was above average. We will for sure come back for many more dishes. Highly recommended.
Driving up will leave you feeling concerned that this was a mistake. When I say “hole in the wall”, this is the epitome of that. However, as soon as you walk in there is some type of TARDIS-y transport to a Hollywood haven. The decor and feeling here is amazing and warm and the immediate aroma coming from the kitchen will allay all of your fears. I have not had a bad meal yet and we are now starting to find ourselves sitting in inhabiting one of the cozy red booths almost weekly. On top of the deliciousness that comes to your table, the decor is astounding - aaaannnddd everything is done by the same artist, Tien. Who happens to own the joint as well. I cannot recommend Pho Star Bowl more - this is our new favorite pho place.
Pho Ha is one of Riverside's best places for Pho (with two outlets, one on Magnolia and one on University). Consistently good and authentic, and lately they seem better organized and the foot more satisfying
