Don't go on a Sunday and don't order online for pickup. Usually the staff is really nice but I guess I caught them on a horrible day because the person working register was dismissive of my partner and of me. My online order took almost 2 hours to be ready for up and I didn't receive any alerts that my order was ready and an item was missing from my order. And honestly I wouldn't have minded any of that if they hadn't been rude. Food is good.
Got full but did not enjoy any of it sad $18 For a sandwich and a Coke.
Anybody living in the Riverside or surrounding area knows this is the spot to go to. Extremely authentic. I can't say enough nice things about this deli. I spend as much money as I can here but being on a fixed income it's difficult. I'm trying to think of one item I could recommend the most but honestly the quality and everything is incredible. Very nice people. Very authentic atmosphere. Comfort food for me makes me think of my grandmother who was an Italian immigrant. Glad to see this business made it through the pandemic losing this business would have literally been losing a treasure of the county.
Ordered the sun dried tomato and turkey sandwich it was okay, there was a bit too much mayo then I like. If you like a lot of meat on your sandwiches though they are very generous with it. I will try them again sometime later just something different next time.
Got a 'tommy gun' sandwich from them to go. Got home and bread was dry and crusty like it was old. Sandwich is supposed to have vinaigrette on it. There was none, bone dry sandwich. I called to complain and they made excuses. When my wife went back two days later they refused to offer to replace the order or give her any discount. 'Sorry, new crew sometimes makes mistakes' is what she got. No customer service ethic here at all.
We always order “forget about it” sandwich and it is really good a little spicy but you can remove jalapeños. The cookies are really good as well. We really liked the marinated salad as well. Dressing is really good. Last time we ordered this salad the dressing was different and not as good as before.We can’t help ourselves to try other sandwiches as well but we like the forget about it so much.I recommend this place fir sureAnd keep the review 5 star till we order another sandwich o or not giid foods!
Ordered two sandwiches today; and they screwed up the order. We asked that the sandwiches be plain snd dry… nothing on them except meat, cheese and bread!!! They put vinegar dressing on the Tommy Gun and made it inedible and put mayonnaise on the ham, turkey, and cheese and almost put that recipient in the hospital!!!! THEY CANT EAT MAYO!!!!This used to be a great place to eat! Not anymore!
I live this place. The staff is amazing. Friendly awesome. Wholesome feeling environment. Now the food. Have not ate anything that has been less then exceptional. Sides are homemade. The coleslaw wow. This is probably the best Italian sandwiches in so cal. I certainly suggest trying it. Try the forgetaboutit. Absoultly amazing lol around.
I love the location of this restaurant. I just visited this place and didn't order any food but the outdoor patio is so relaxing and great for lunch meetings. I will definitely go back and order food next time.
