The food overall was good not fantastic. The sides are very average tasting. The greens were a bit plain and the macaroni was kinda watery and didn't have much taste. The yams were good. I had catfish that tasted pretty good but it was a bit salty. The BBQ chicken was good and the rib tips were okay. The prices are not too bad and the customer service was great.
Pretty decent BBQ place! My bf had the brisket and I had the shrimp po-boy. There’s tastier bbq in surrounding cities, but we’ll definitely be back due to the location!I grew up in the south, so I know good BBQ when I get it. I found it all to be a bit* bland. But honestly the prices were really great for BBQ.

I went here on the weekend Saturday January 22nd. The food was really good I was happy with most of everything I got. The greens were my favorite, they were so delicious. ? I can get easily addicted to the greens alone. The pork ribs is another thing that I ordered and highly recommend. The meat fell off the bone and was cooked well done like I like. The Mac and Cheese was also good though I am not a big fan of Mac and cheese and think the green juice saturated them well to alter the taste a bit. So if you order to go you definitely want to try your best to hold the bag from the bottom. I also got the shrimp which had a nice lemon taste to them. Though the shrimp and chicken was my least favorite because of the gritty breading on the outside it reminds me of corn starch. The cornbread was also good but not a favorite. The sweet potato pie was excellent I think it had a nice balance with the seasonings and the sweet potatoes seemed like they were blended properly making for a great texture, which is a hard thing to do and find lets be honest. I definitely will come back for more. The cheesecake was also good and interesting because it was a Reese's Pieces Cheesecake. I ate that quickly so it is not pictured.
We ordered the pork ribs dinner and the chicken wing dinner and the meat on both was really good. The rib meat was nice and tender and very big, my fiance said the skin on the wings could have been more crunchy for him. Overall a 3 star mainly because the sides were not what we expected, the main reason we eat bbq is for the sides and we both agree the meat is the better option here.
We bought the family meal for 4 of us... and took home to feed 4 more people for $50.00. This was such a deal... and the BBQ was amazing... it came with 3 large sides. We got greens, mac n cheese, and bbq baked beans. It ALL was amazing! If you're in Downtown Riverside... near the Mission Inn or the convention center.. This is the place to go.
At first I thought the prices were a bit much, but you really get your money's worth of food here in addition to the taste. Worth the stop.I always leave a recommendation even if I love the place. My recommendation is to reconsider the outside chairs. The metal criss cross seating can be a no go for some women when we wear shorts or skirts. Nice overall patio area though.
This was my first experience at Gram's. I can say the staff were very nice and helpful. The barbecue rib tips were okay but the greens were a little bland. I will visit again and try more items on the menu.
