I come here almost every day, order the exact same thing (one bagel with cream cheese) and normally they have great customer service. I even add a tip to every order even though I’m not sure that’s really necessary. Most of the people even know my order before I say it and are very friendly. But today another lady took my order and she demanded I spend over $5 to use my debit card. I’ve NEVER had anyone tell me this is required. I know other places have this requirement so that’s not my issue. My issue comes when I told her I come in daily and no one has ever said this. She gave me a very rude smirk, added a small laugh and pointed to some sign then just stared me down for a few seconds. After looking at her in a little disbelief for her attitude and I told her to just go ahead and add another bagel. She ended up giving me a sigh and just let me pay for my 1 bagel. As much as I love this place, I don’t want to put up with this lady’s poor attitude ever again.. won’t be back.
Hands down my FAVORITE bagel place! They all are Amazing and fresh. My favorite is their garlic cheese bagels, but they sell out the fastest! Made fresh daily.
I can’t say a negative thing about my experience here. The service was attentive and welcoming. The food was prepared at a quick rate. The bagel sandwich was freshly made and extremely delicious. Would come again
Came in to order, and I was the only person in the cafe. I waited for a while, and no one acknowledged me. Finally, an employee asked if I was picking up, and I said, "no, I'd like to order". They replied that they would be "right with me" - but it wasn't clear why I was even waiting, as there was no one in the place. A man walked in, went up to the counter and threw down a couple bills and asked for an iced tea. She immediately served him, and continued to ignore me. So I left.
The line out the door is a great sign you’re going to get some good food! First time here and we all enjoyed our bagels, even our East Coast friend. Really liked the quality, taste, and texture of my bagel. I will say be careful if you are ordering a sandwich and want cream cheese as they all don’t come with cream cheese, so you may need to specify. So now I know for next time! Service was quick. Prime time on the weekends seems to be between 8:30 and 9:30. They have a lot on the menu and you can also take home homemade spreads. I tried the chive and it was amazing! The decorations inside are super cool with lots of broadway movie posters. Will be making this a regular stop on the weekends for breakfast!
Here is our all the time breakfast place. We like it a-lot. They have a really good collection of bagels. And you can order yours with your fav as well. My fave is cream cheese avocado and cucumber!Good fresh Orange juice as well!Recommend it for quick an yummy break fast.
The Owner of this operation is a very pleasant and kind person, so are what seemed to their regulars. The breakfast Bagel sandwiches were outstanding. We'll be visiting again!
My ALL TIME fav bagel: Score Garlic peeps. Don't say i didn't tell you. Perfect with my vanilla decaf and vanilla cream. Love love. Ps. Notice they are kind to homeless also. Love love
I have been wanting to try this place since moving to the area, and now I’ve been here two days in a row bc “pregnancy cravings.” It was exactly what I wanted/expected. Having grown up Chicago, I wanted that mom and pop bagel shop feel, and they definitely delivered!! Fresh and yummy bagels, great authentic options, and reasonable prices! I can’t wait until this baby comes, and I can try the lox bagel bc every great bagel shop should have lox!
