The cupcake itself isn't dry per se, but it's weird. Sort of crumbly, devoid of any flavor. I had a vanilla cupcake. There was no vanilla bean or extract from what i can tell, in the cupcake or frosting. The frosting was glaringly sweet and the butter was heavy. I'm not sure it was even butter, maybe shortening. Then there's the price... ridiculous for what they're trying to pass off as a gourmet cupcake! I've had better cupcakes from the Stater Bros neighborhood grocery store. Seriously, the tender cake and fantastic frosting of a local grocery store is ten fold better than this.
Formerly located inside Mission Inn Hotel, this boutique cupcake shop was doing so well they opened a small shop outside in Mission Inn, on the promenade side. It is hidden next to an entrance to Mission Inn Hotel, but you can not miss the pink sign and umbrellas on the outdoor cafe.The delectable cupcakes are packaged in a beautiful pink and white striped cardboard box so that when opened, all four sides of the main box open. It is presentation with dine detail -- and worth every penny!Although they offer a small selection of candy near the entrance, ice cream infused cupcakes and cotton candy, the BEST items are the cupcake, each artfully crafted and topped with chocolate round with the logo. Both my husband and I loved our selections: Decadent Chocolate - a very moist cake slathered covered small chocolate shavings and thick chocolate icing; Red Velvet topped with generous icing of melt in your mouth cream cheese icing, with chocolate round on top.At one time these cupcakes were included on the menus of all restaurants inside Mission Inn. But you can still make this your dessert choose this by purchasing ahead of your meal (Open 10am to 9pm). I believe that they will deliver, but this is something that you will need to confirm with business. They also make an excellent choice for breakfast, mid afternoon snack or as gifts.I look forward to visiting this business on my next visit to Mission Inn this summer. Highly recommend these cupcakes!
I haven't been in about 4 years but the cupcakes are just as delicious. I noticed a few reviews saying the cupcakes are smaller, but they are huge. If they were any bigger, they would be a small cake.
This place was so so so so cute! I'm sure it's a little girl's dream to pick out a cupcake here. But I came with three grown women. No inside seating so we sat outside and it was chilly (I know it's not their fault). There were a couple of street singers who were entertaining us. While sitting we encountered a group of people that we thought were up to no good so we left at that point (I know this can happen anywhere).The cupcakes were just so adorable to bad they didn't taste as good as they looked and they definitely weren't very fresh. It was later in the day so who knows how long they had sat around. Actually they were on the dry side. There's a ton of frosting on them to make them cute. They are on the expensive side for what you're getting but I'm sure a lot of the money goes into all the cutesy packaging (about $5 and upward for one cupcake). We still had a nice time but unless I'm entertaining a little girl I won't be going back.
I'm a local and maybe I'm showing my age. But I remember when these cupcakes used to be HUGE.But their prices went up and the sizes went down. Haha.No thanks. ?I have tried a small one since and they are not it anymore. The big ones were DELICIOUS. But the small one I had tasted dry or stale or something.No longer quality.Just a name and cute presentation. If you want good cupcakes, up the street is Cupcakes and Curiosities!

There was gnats! They were flying all around the cupcakes! The employee saw them and just said “yeah they’ve been there” . I don’t know which was worse the employees customer service or the gnats .. I have a feeling they came from the flower water not being changed.
This place has some very delicious cupcakes. Just wish the customer service was a little better. Last couple times I've been here the employees are not very friendly, not sure what's going on.Also, was just informed today that no reward stamps are given for cupcakes bought with icecream shots. ?!?!? Not sure why, they are still cupcakes. ?Coordinating the closing of the store for the day would be good. Don't appreciate being yelled at in front of everyone in line that they are closing. No sign or anything, people were still lined up in front of me. (That happened yesterday)
Employees were very kind and the atmosphere was very cute. I purchased the lemon and the strawberry cupcakes. There seems to be much more frosting than cake. The taste and texture of the frostings were strange to me, and the amount of frosting seemed unnecessary. I found myself scraping amounts off of the tops. The filling of the strawberry cupcake tastes like strawberry jam. Although the frosting was way too much for my liking, I liked the lemon cupcake very much: moist and with a hint a lemon!
