Have to say it's actually a 4.5 but they were friendly so they earned a 5.0. I got a 2 way with ribs and brisket. I asked for the hot sauce and it wasn't very hot.BUT, the food was excellent, tasty and well prepared. I will definitely be coming back now that I found this little gem.
I got the 3 way combo with ribs, links, and chicken with 3 sides, mac n cheese, fries, bake beans. The food was ok, barbeque sauce was to sweet for my taste, and it seems like they used the same sauce for the baked beans. The sides portion was small but they said it was a medium, the meet portion was a good amount feed three with extra left over. Also the menu prices need to be updated on the website, when I went in to pickup there was a note stating that due to meat prices raising. Plate prices also raised.
Let start with the good... the " cat fish nuggets" were good. And the links and beef was good.Now the bad.. the baked beans were under cooked (still hard)The "potato salad" was sweet! And had olives in it! Smh WTHThe "Corn bread" had no corn meal in it! It tasted like a dry chewy cake! SmhI spent over $100 just to be extremely disappointed. Ps. The Vallejo one is better.
OK BBQ. Overpriced plates and they never have two things that match. Mac n cheese ,no Yams. Potato salad ,no Beans.My first experience the BBQ sauce was very sweet it over powered the meat, so I would prefer getting the sauce on the side.Lastly, their service could be a bit nicer and welcoming..
Excellent BBQ, ribs were amazing. They could make the ribs portion SLIGHTLY larger but other than that it's great
I would always smell the grill cooking had to stop great service preorder definitely would go back... it's been awhile to have good ribs and brisket in the east bay... going back to try the fish.
This place is not good at all food does not taste good at all macaroni salad was over cooked fish tasted bald with no type of seasoning at all cut up links wasn't any better baked beans were ok potato salad was ok would i go back no, no, and no wish i could give it a 0 star not good at all..
Although, the chicken and fish frozen they were seasoned well. However The fish was under cooked. The side dishes were awful.The wait time was very long. They're leaving prophets on the table because they are so very slow and cook with no love.
Food is pretty good and portion is very generous. Really great local bbq spot!!
This place is worth visiting. They have big portions for reasonable prices. Constantly well organized and with good mood. Would recommend to others.
