The best BBQ in the Bay Area…and it’s not even close. The ambiance is amazing, the food is amazing, the scenery is amazing, the people are amazing and friendly, last but not least, the customer service is amazing. It’s a family friendly environment with entertainment and plenty of space to run around and enjoy yourselves!
Food is outstanding and just the views of the bay with a harbor next too it. It’s a must stop.
These are a few of my favorite things..BBQ is awesome, live music was great and it's family-friendly.Pt Molate is like taking a trip back to a time where people were caring and considerate of their neighbors because they know what they have is like Shangri-la. An oasis away from the daily grind just over the hill.Extra points for that old school Burning Man feel, without the dynamite.
Great atmosphere and Toni is a wonderful person ? More time needs to be spent on the food presentation and keeping it warm while it is being served !
Good food, good music with dancing people, great scenery, good people and nice restaurant staff. I saw everybody of all ages was spending good time there. One more thing! :DDon't forget to close the windows of your car at the parking lot and don't go "car wash" before you go there. :pEnjoy your meal! :)
This is a totally unique place!!! Hard to believe that you are in the Bay Area. The grounds are amazing. Views of yachts and houseboats from dining area.We loved our food, and there was a large band singing music from the 60s and 70s that kept us singing along...You will be surprised at the large Burning Man sized sculptures. I definitely took lots of pics!!!
We had high hopes. The place has great reviews, and is almost as close to the middle of nowhere for the Bay Area. The views are great too. Now on to the food. It was below average. I've had BBQ from all over. We ordered the 3 meat plate - Ribs, Brisket, Burnt Ends. The tray arrived with sauce poured all over. My preference is on the side so I can decide how much I want. The ribs were pretty good. The brisket was so-so - not quite moist enough, and some odd fat strings (maybe we got an unlucky cut). The burnt ends were very odd. I'd expect crispy/burnt meat from the smoker. What we got felt like lightly smoked tri-tip that was then pan fried. It was tough, and just tasted like tough smokey steak. Only 1 out of 3 was a winner on the meat side. The sides were all great - Mac, Coleslaw, Beans. The biscuits were absolutely delicious. The seating is very bohemian - quirky, but sufficient. The service was great - the staff were friendly and efficient. The price was too much in all honesty. 2 adults, 1 6 year old - sharing a 3 meat plate, 3 biscuits, iced tea and a Sprite for $97 inc. a standard tip. I wanted to love it, but don't think we'll be back... Even though it does have a quirky draw to the place. The main show - the meat - aside from the ribs was not good enough.
This is one of my FAVORITE places for a weekend experience in the Bay Area. I have held off writing a review because I’m afraid the place will be overrun, but these folks deserve it. Really good food with generous portions (On my last visit I shared a plate with pulled pork, green beans with mushrooms and coleslaw and a GIANT side of tater tots with my sister). The food is made with all fresh ingredients and is delicious. The live music is always so much fun, and the view over the harbor is great. This is the perfect place to bring visiting friends and relatives if you’re trying to justify to them why you spend so much to live here! Or as just a good reminder to yourself of why you just deserve to enjoy a Saturday afternoon
What a hidden gem. Amazing bbq, ESPECIALLY the brisket! & the coolest atmosphere. Very quirky, with great live music. Friendly staff as well. All around 5 stars. Can’t wait to come back. ?
Fun, mellow, funky place with great view but sorry, I thought the Bbq had really fatty meat and the cornbread was dry. Very nice setting and people though!
