Charming rustic outdoor pizza woodfired in Richmond, always my favorite.
Terrific wood-fired pizza on the “patio” (parking lot). We had the chicken pesto & the mushroom. Grilled zucchini w/goat cheese was also solid. Happy (BOGO) hour on select wines starts at 2pm. Quiet setting except when a train rolls by!
This is a rare experience, one destined to be remembered fondly by those of us fortunate enough to have found it before its success changes it forever.Saturday evenings unfold not unlike a big family celebration... casual and unhurried with laughing children roaming about, the clientele crosses generations and cultural currents, often sharing the raised makeshift stage with the flamenco performers and their live accompanists who entertain weekly. No tickets required...though the hat is passed and contributed to by the enthusiastic crowd. The food is fresh and tasty, including a roaring outdoor oven producing delicious thin crust pizza paired with local beers and wine. It doesn't taste cheap, and it isn't. What it is, however, is a bargain, for as long as it lasts.
bbq beef was good, though the pizza we ordered showed up after we completed our meal when we we’re ready to leave. Waiter apologized for it being so late and said their was technical difficulties in the kitchen.Pizza was soggy and undercooked and burned around the edges, while the center was dough. They attempted to cook it a second time and returned less than 60 seconds later with it not even warm.We explained we needed to leave and they attempted to cook another and we got a different pizza order after waiting again - also undercooked.Really disappointed with the food quality this time and also the experience at how the server handled the issue. The other server gave us an attitude about it before we left.
Delicious food! Great service! Such a cool spot. And, coffee by independent person that's on-site by outdoor tables has a yuzu scone that was delicious.
We somewhat accidentally stumbled on this lovely, cozy, and delicious surprise in the industrial part of Richmond and were delighted to meet Arnon, chef and owner, and taste the mushroom pizza and wine. Locally sourced ingredients, ambient lights and live music - all the yummy things we like. There was one last question:- what's your policy on dogs?- dogs are... [a pause]... very [big smile] welcome! We have water bowls and look forward to meeting them. We'll be back! Thank you for being our neighbor!
In the midst of work yards, tractors, there's this oasis of live music, flamenco dancers, great food, and outdoor seating with heaters and a fabulous crowd. Truly a unique and wonderful experience.

Last November I celebrated my birthday at Anaviv's. We were a party of eight and we had an absolutely delightful dinner experience that I will recall as one of my finest ever (since 1970) .The room itself is comfortable and intimate and we were attended to by Nick who served a refreshing aperitif along with hot, tasty vegetables cooked tempura style in a delicate batter that we gleefully consumed while touring the kitchen. We sat down and Arnon, our host, introduced us to the chef who promptly served our 1st course; Chicory Salad with Shaved persimmons and walnuts in a tangy Sherry vinaigrette. This was paired with a wonderful 2016 Alsace Gentil "Hugel".Our second course consisted of Grilled Beets, with a gentle dusting of Cumin (very neat), bathed in Pesto Rosso Sauce. This dish was paired with 2020 Red Car "Rose of Pinot Noir". Wow!!!Our main course was perfectly seared duck Breast topped with a "Juniper Berry Jus" and complimented with Brussels Sprouts, Mashed potatoes and black truffle caviar. Our wine: 2018 'Savigny-Les Beaune''Flourless Coconut Chocolate Cake' with Vanilla Whipped cream (with a candle...of course) capped a perfect meal. This was a great dinner event and it represents a fresh new way to share an experience with close friends and family without the usual restaurant roar. I recommend Anaviv's Table without reservation.
I’ve dined here twice. Once for lunch with a friend and I was so impressed with the food and service I decided to order Thanksgiving dinner. Anaviv’s Table really came through so this could be a new tradition. Because we really like music and dancing…and are a bit worried about omicron…I think we might just make New Years Eve reservations and bring in the new year at Anaviv’s.
