The lunch combo is nice.

This place won’t disappoint you, if you enjoy North Indian/Pakistani cuisine. They have only few items, but they are nearly as good as what you expect it to be. With both indoor and outdoor seating facilities and vibrant ambiance inside, this amplifies your dining experience. You need to place the order and pay before you take your seat. Take a look at their menu before you heading in as many items are day specific like biriyani is available only Friday and Nihari on weekends.

I am a long-standing customer at Zareen’s Mountain View and Palo Alto branch. I love the food there and keep going back for more. Today I dined at the Redwood City restaurant for the first time. Inside decor was really cool. Very clean restaurant with plenty outdoor seating. The reason I took off stars - I had ordered my usual chicken boti sizzler that I have been eating from few years now, it’s their signature dish. However, today it had multiple issues. It was extremely salty. It was that salty that tongue felt burnt towards the end. I am still gulping tons of water to kick off that extra sodium. Also, as it was a sizzler, it came on the hot plate. It was that hot that it kept sizzling for the next 5 mins. It looked cool to other costumers sitting nearby, but for us - we started coughing, it smoked for too long. When that got over, we realized with so much heat the chicken got over cooked. In fact the layer of chicken and onions below was completely burnt and had to be discarded. I would say - please serve the regular food - it got spoiled by adding extra gimmicks. Parantha was as usual great, super oily but great. This review was specific to Redwood City branch. I will keep going to Mountain view and Palo Alto ones. 5 starts for them!Update: the manager reached out to me personally and explained that it was a one-off incident. I am really impressed with the kind of genuine concern she expressed. This shows the strong character to own up and that the restaurant really care about the customers. I wouldn’t expect this kind of courtesy from most of the restaurants. As a longstanding customer of this chain, I already am aware of the delicious food they have been serving from years. She graciously offered to refund for the item that I wasn’t happy with. I would give “awesome” rating to their customer service. I am changing my stars from 2 to 4, all for their excellent customer service!

Been wanting to try out this place. This restaurant was recommended by a halal restaurant FB group. I'm glad that we stopped by, food was delicious. We ordered the beef chapli burger, veggie samosas and lastly, chicken masala with rice and veggies. Our favorite was the chapli burger and samosas. The place is big and spacious, you can either sit outside or inside. We sat inside because it was windy out. We will definitely stop by again.

Absolutely delicious and the price is very reasonable. I love that they offer gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options; so there is something for everyone with specific dietary needs. The sumptuous, rich, and creamy sauce is so good that’s hard to imagine that it’s dairy free, but it is. The restaurant has a bright, modern, and casual ambience with good Pakistani/Indian music. You order the food at the counter and they bring the food to you in traditional Indian steel platters. We definitely will come again and visit other locations as well.

This is the third location Zareen's has opened and the quality is still top-notch. I've never been disappointed by anything here. My favorites are the chicken boti plate, beef chapli burger (with those amazing seasoned fries), and the jalapeno-cheese stuffed naan (at the locations that have it). There's a crispy chicken sandwich at this location that's really good as well.

Zareen continues to be one of our to-go places for Pakistani food. Their breakfast/brunch especially is to die for - today we tried the halwapuri, beef chapli, chicken sizzler and it was very tasty - especially the beef chapli + halwa! The food was amazing and flavorful that remind you of Lahore itself! If you are ever in the Bay Area, California this place is THE best Pakistani restaurant ever.

Food is always amazing at Zareens. Seating is hard to find sometimes.Love the open ventilated indoor + outdoor concept seating during the pandemic. CA weather helps ;)

The food is delicious and worthy of five stars. The one star deduction is for the customer service. This is the second time they forgot an item. I wish the workers were just a little bit more diligent. To customers: if you’re picking up an order, open your stapled bag and check you have all items.

The reviews got this one right. Simple, quick, delicious - we DEVOURED it! Loved all the little flavors that come in the combo platters. The chicken tikka masala was one of the best I've had, the lamb stew was delicious, and we went back for a second garlic naan. The restaurant is clean and bright with lots of space so feels safe during these Covid times. Everyone was really nice. Highly recommend - we will be going back! PS - love all the empowering artwork!
