Hotel bistro which is handy if you want to get a quick bite and don't feel like walking over to downtown Redwood City. The salad, which is a gluten free option, was tasty but not amazing. The service was good and prompt. There are a few tables outside on their patio, though it is quite noisy from the freeway.

The room was OK, but the walls are a bit thin. The guests in the room next door had a huge argument from 1:00AM until about 2:40 AM when they stormed out of the room. We could hear the whole argument and got very concerned when it sounded like it almost got physical. In addition, we found a medical syringe under the chair, luckily it did not have the sharp part still attached. That was a bit troubling to find and showed housekeeping doesn’t move the items around when cleaning. This issue was addressed with Mr. Abdul Hakim when we checked out and an email was also sent with photos, but we never received a response? There were no cups in the room and coffee is only available for a small window of time in the morning. Ice machines still don’t work and you must go to the front desk for ice which is somewhat inconvenient. Restaurant was closed and no housekeeping unless you ask. Contacted the General Manager and Corporate about the room and no one responds! Last time we stay in a Marriott...

It took 5+ minutes of running the water in the shower before it reached lukewarm temperature. I think the building is just too big, and the pipe runs from the water heater are too long. Also, my room heater did not put out hot air. I had to bundle up. The front desk was understaffed --- just one person working there when I checked in. I saw a line of guests behind me three deep. At least the bed was nice, and the room was clean.

As a Titanium Marriott member, I was shocked by the rude and unprofessional attitude of the Assistant Manager Shakeel Hakim. The hotel is not clean, no hot water, strange and weird people were walking in the hallways at night, and it was clear that they were not guests at the hotel. When we called to alert Security, we were told they had no security personnel in the hotel (this was at 10 pm). The next night there was load music and noise at 3 am in the room next to ours. It required 2 calls to the front desk before anything was done. There was no hot water in the shower and the heater didn’t work well. The room didn’t have any amenities and service was poor! The manger basically told us that if we don’t like it we can leave and he took no action to make our stay comfortable and pleasant ( we had 3 rooms). I stayed at this hotel many times before and never had an issue. I really start to question the type of manager they hired. Maybe this property is going out of business?? Don’t be fooled by the low rates... your stay will feel like in a motel vs. a Marriott brand hotel. Also, forget about upgrades or Elite status perks like bottled water. I should have looked at recent reviews before booking this property. During COVID it is not an excuse to poorly manage a hotel. Shame on the manager Shakeel Hakim. I hope corporate will take the right action before Marriott reputation is damaged further. This man doesn’t know what customer service is in the hospitality business.

I have stayed in many hotels since the beginning of the COVID crisis, but never one in which the coffee maker had been removed from the room and there was not even a plastic cup to get a drink of water! We had to go to the bar downstairs to get plastic cups and pay for coffee in the lobby next morning. Inconvenient and disappointing. This is not necessary to comply with COVID precautions! On the plus side, it is conveniently located near the freeway, was clean with comfortable beds. I will not stay here again due to policies which unnecessarily inconvenience the guests.

There are not a lot of upper tier hotels on this stretch of the Peninsula. I found it to be a decent choice since I am Bonvoy Gold Elite. I was upgraded to top floor room with a decent view. However, as others state, the location is awkward. Great for freeway on/off and driving close to things. But, there is not walking around to anything. And no other perks for hotel status. Room seemed clean, modern, nice big TV. The bed comfy. It's very awkward, though, to eat in the room. There is a desk/chair, and a not so comfy odd sized couch with small table to use. Unfortunately, traveling during COVID, dining in from their grab n go had to be an option twice due to location. The on premise Bistro restaurant was not open for lunch. Dinner was good, not great. The staff also seemed overwhelmed with minimal on duty. Only outside dining now. The grab n go breakfast options not exciting. We had breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. One was missing an element on the ingredients list; and overall, not much flavor. Beverages are a fortune! $7 for soda and orange juice. they do have Starbucks drop coffee. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. The bathroom was clean, bright, modern and functional. Plenty of counter space, nice shower. Basic towels.
