The location is redwood city and the service is very good but their salad bar is very poor compared to others sizzlers if I new this before ordering and paying for 3 salads I will never have ordered and order something else from their menu for the same amount of money I was spending. Now you know what not to order in this restaurant. Everything else is good.
Kinda disappointed. Was looking forward to the salad bar but they've charged the hot bar section and the salads were not replenished properly.The hot bar section used to offer chicken wings, spaghetti and taco fixings. The chicken was replaced by nuggets like McDonald's and were cold not hot.Upon ordering, the woman (manager) was rather brash and not welcoming. Personally I thought she was rude.
Order received without the extra sides I paid for. When I called Manager told me I had to request a refund online because they don't get my credit card payment until the end of the month. When I said I didn't want a refund I wanted my order made right. She told me to bring everything back with my receipt. I did then she proceeded to tell me it wasn't the store's fault because my online order did not print out on their end the way I requested it on the Sizzler website. When I explained to her it sounds like that is a system issue and again showed her my receipt, email and online receipt she continued to argue with me that it isn't the stores fault. Finally I told her I don't care whose fault it is I just want my food. Now I'm afraid to eat it LOL. Update she still refused to give me the sides because she continues to say the store doesn't have record of my side salads??♂️ Horible customer service.
Was pretty good. Was 45 mins till closing and the salad bar was running out of things but I would go back.
This place is not impressive. For instance, the salad bar was NOT kept stocked in the middle of the day; as a result, there were a few empty containers. Also, it has a very weak selection of meat. Next, i noticed that no one was using gloves even though the sign said everyone must use it. The gloves were there but it was hard to see them. They were not placed where they are supposed to be, next to the large spoons. I am myself did not use gloves for the first time because i did not see them where they are supposed to be, and later i went to wash my hands. However, when i returned for the second plate, that is when i noticed on top of the tall structure a box with gloves. And, i used them immediately. I believe, for the manager of this restaurant, this job is very difficult. Because, he or she doesn't have time or will to come out and check if everything looks good and sound at the salad bar. The good example about how this kind of the restaurant should be run is a Sizzler's restaurant in Pinole, CA.
March 11th-DinnerWhile I can forgive new staff for their mistakes; on the other hand our waitress was clearly seasoned, provided awesome service! ? She was fast and courteous.Food and drinks were on point with plenty of salad bar options. Very clean too.
The place is typical for redwood city. Not the best it can be. This place is very hit and miss. We went there a few months ago, not much to complain about. We went there a week ago and the steak was hard, not cooked correctly and oddly shaped. We called it a california steak, it was thin and oddly shaped. The shrimp were hard and dry. Very hit and miss place.
The manager in this place has a rude attitude when ordering our food.Mary is the only person serving, bringing new dishes and doing dishwasher at the same time.They need to work on the management and give credit to Mary for doing a hard job.There are 6 tables full of families eating and Mary is the only one doing everything. The manager is just in the registry doing nothing.
So when you go to sizzler you expect the cheese bread that comes out. After waiting 10 minutes I had to flag down the waitress and ask her for some bread. Then she tells me "oh we ran out". She could have told us that and set the expectation right off top. She then served our food and never checked up on us to see if there was anything else we needed or how the food was. Very poor service I will never come back here again.
