This place is quite a star. In fact I think Michelin agrees. I had a unique experience with an insider so my experience was not the usual, but the food was incredible and the drinks were both creative and delicious. It's pricey but definitely a special location on the Peninsula
The neighboring tables were too loud. The food was average (filet mignon is too blank, soft shell crab too salty and the cheesecake is too sour). Service is great though.
I waited 2 hours for my food to be served, it was too slow!

Mandatory three course "prix fixe" - but isn't since there are multiple up-charges - mandatory 24.5% service charge (service + SM mandate + they even tax you on these) - despite somewhat condescending & very lackadaisical service, wine list that is laughably marked up (even for the Bay Area) and a very dark noisy dining room. Despite all of this, the food was good but not good enough to come back.

The food was ok. The gnudi was amazing, but the steak was too hard and chewy. The restaurant was very noisy. There was a woman walking a stroller w/ a crying baby inside the restaurant, and later a mom was almost screaming while disciplining her child.
Selby's is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is excellent, service the same, ambience very pleasant. I just with they would put the pork chop back on the menu!
No me parecií³ un restaurant que merezca una estrella, comida mediocre, ninguna atencií³n a la llegada ni luego del postre como suele haber en estos restaurantes. Tuvimos que reclamar el pan. Parecía corto de personal, mucha espera tanto al comienzo como para pagar.No volvería y no lo recomiendo. Muy caro para el servicio y comida que brinda
