Harry's Hofbrau is a genuine German food experience that you must go to. I had the tri tip with genuine mashed potatoes and gravy and a tasty macaroni salad. After dinner I sampled a true German imported Hefeweizen with a squeeze of lemon for true authenticity. The best beer I have ever sampled. You will live walking around the place too seeing all kinds of carved caricatures and steins and pictures. Located in Redwood City, CA.
An cafeteria style dinner place. Once through the door, you see a line of people waiting in line to order food. You have to grab a tray and tell the counter staff what you want for the main dish then your moved down the line to get your sides and desserts. You can see all the food they serve and all looked delicious. I ordered from the carvery and got turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potato and gravy, bread and butter, pesto pasta and water. All under $20 dollars. Turkey tasted good with the gravy. The pesto pasta was freshly made and had sundried tomato. Plenty of seating area and place is very cozy. I'm gonna say lots of people who eats here are regulars. I would definitely eat here again.
Nice place to dine and drink beer. They have more than 5 taps to choose from. The roasted beef is tender and tasty, don't forget to ask for the sauce, top it with mashed potato and gravy. They have more than 20 side dishes and desserts to choose from.Must try: Roast chicken and roast beef
This is probably the oldest Restaurant in Redwood City & is one of the Best"Comfort food " locations in town.Awesome location to bring friends & Family for traditional cuisine. Not @ all Fancy,But the atmosphere is nostalgic and welcoming. Chill bar, and relaxing patio area outside. The Employees/ Staff here is Amazing!Extremely friendly, and Very nice to everyone. They All deserve a Commendation &Raises. They are not paid nearly enough ,for being Essential worker's...And the kindness they show to many Patrons, of All ages..Just about a Historic Landmark for this area.I Hope they Never leave ?
My son in law has been coming here since he was about 10. He is now 40+. He says it's still the same Harry's. It's great to have a place that is consistently - good. It is.The only odd part is they serve American style food in a place with a German name.I had a hot turkey sandwich. My daughter had spinach lasagna. My granddaughter Mac and Cheese. My son in law a Reuben. Kids topped it off with red velvet cake. Everyone was happy. It's the perfect multi- generational experience. On the Hofbrau side, they have an amazing number of beers on tap from all over the place.
We love Harry's! The turkey wing dinner remains one of the best values in the valley. Their roasted meats are delicious. Portions are generous. Service is friendly and very efficient (very German!). The large dining room has several places to accommodate a group. If you've never been, you should check it out. If you have been, I bet you've been back!
I've always heard of this place and finally decided to stop by. The staff were all working extremely hard and still had the time to explain the menu. The food was phenomenal, to say the least. The rotisserie chicken I got was moist and bursting with flavor. Honestly, shocked good food like this was so affordable. I'll be making this my regular lunch/dinner spot whenever I can stop by.
Always love Harry's! I've been coming here for years and can't get enough of it. They have a nice location, great atmosphere, and above all delicious food. The prices are good and there are a ton of unique and delicious options to choose from. The bar is also very nice, with a great selection of beers on tap and comfortable seating all around. Check it out and if you're not sure what to get, you can never go wrong with a classic french dip.
I recommend, spaghetti and meatballs enchiladas Rostisari chicken ? ?
Great place to unwind on the patio
