This hotel advertises itself as a luxury hotel. It is not. The room was small and outdated with wallpaper peeling off and everything inside just looking tired. The lobby and elevators are nice. Strange priorities by the management. You'd think they'd invest in at least cosmetic room repairs. It's not bad it's just not luxury in any way and even for Los Angeles grossly overpriced.

Booked a last minute trip. This was the only hotel room available that had anything resembling beach access. Based on reviews from others, I was setting expectations with my family that the room was going to be super outdated, the bathroom a bit janky, and to not expect much of the room (even though we were paying plenty). We could see that lobby and restaurant had been updated, but as for the room, I said we should just be glad we got a place and minimize expectations. So we were super surprised that the room is totally fine! No dirty floors or bathrooms. No janky bathroom. Bed is super comfortable. Air conditioning is as quiet as you can hope for in a hotel (not one of those loud obnoxious window air conditioning units). And although I can tell that doors and walls aren’t sound proof IF there were other super loud guests, we heard hardly anything and slept like babies. We DID book the executive queen just to ensure a 5th floor room. Who knows… maybe floors 1-4 aren’t as nice, but the bad reviews I read are far worse than the reality! ;). Is it the fanciest room we’ve ever stayed in? No. But it’s way better than “just a place to sleep”.

Clean quiet comfortable. Black out curtains are great for sleeping. Plenty of options within walking distance. Turn left towards the pier you have all kinds of bars and restaurants. Turn right and you have steak house and liquor store. Go up the hill and you will find a Whole Foods and other convinces.

Great place for a family vacation. Family friendly hotel, In walking distance of the Sea Lagoon and other nearby beaches. Both piers and lots of restaurants near by as well. Our first hotel room was an ocean view and not super clean, it mostly looked over a parking lot, so not thrilled. Joe at the front desk was so kind and patient with us. He found us a pool and ocean view room to our liking. Not a lot of hotel staff would go out of their way, but Joe did and we are so grateful! Thank you Joe! The hotel rooms could use an update, more thorough clean and the towels at the pool are terrible, but besides that it was an enjoyable stay.

Nice hotel in Redondo. Good location, rooms are well done, the patios need a bit more work to be 5 star.Staff is super friendly and you can walk to the marina and a lot of restaurants and bars in just a few minutes

My husband and I stayed here for the first time. There was so much to do within walking distance or a short drive. The accommodations were first rate as was all the staff! They have a very nice gift shop and a fun bar to relax in. We will definitely be back.

Plenty to do in the area and the beach is a quick walk away. The gym isn't great but it has the basics and more than 1 piece of each cardio equipment. Rooms are nice and there's a whole foods a quick walk away.

Visited as part of a tour group. Clearly an old hotel but large rooms. Very comfy bed. Seemed recently decorated but bath was ancient with rust round plug hole and glaze very worn. Nice bar area but there was a very loud live band I couldn’t avoid which, after a very long transatlantic flight, was the last thing I needed. Poor view with titchy grim balcony overlooking roof area.

Excellent staff and service. Hotel was great. Fun bar. Food good. Location funky but we stay there alot! Would definitely recommend

Stayed here numerous times when it was crowne plaza, was interested to see if it improved under the Sonesta brand, unfortunately this was not the case.. The plus side was very nice staff at reception, a greT location, and the exterior and lobby look smart... The downfall was the dirty room and hallways...I don't think they have enough housekeeping staff Dirty glasses and plated littered the hallways for hours...our room on the 5th floor had a disgusting bathroom, with blood splattered above the sink, a nasty yellow stain around the tub, a dirty filter by the shower...really needed a good scrub.. Pool area is sad and neglected, tiny scratchy pool towels...think it has guaranteed income from sir crew, and conventions, and isn't too worried about people on vacay
