Every thing went great
Bluewater Grillâs food quality has gone downhill. The service, appetizers, ambiance are still very good. The main course fish dinners are smaller portions, thinner cuts, and therefore overcooked because itâs really hard to cook fish just right when itâs that thin. I had the swordfish and my wife had the halibut. We were very disappointed in the main course.
Bluewater Grill used to be my favorite restaurant here in Redondo, but they have changed a lot. The food is not good as before. The last 3 times we went there, we were not happy with the food. Not sure what happened, but they changed the menu a bit the food does not taste the same. My fish (rainbow trout) was over cooked and it was very hard. The broccolini that came with the fish was impossible to eat. My husband fish (seabass) was not different, also bad. I feel bad saying this about this restaurant that I like so much but I have to tell the truth. Hopefully someone from the restaurant can read it.
We loved every dish and our waiter was exceptional! New family favorite restaurant. Beautiful views. High quality ingredients.
Only disappointment was they had sand dabs listed on their menu but has been months since they had them available. They offered fillet of sole prepared the same way as the sand dabs and it was delicious. However, I think they should remove the sand dabs from the menu and treat them as a special if they no longer have a continual source of delivery!
Usually a great meal and great service, this time not so much. Server was bery delayed getting over to greet and take order, food came out cold, margarita drink came out with so much ice melted it tasted very watery. All around bad experience. Been coming here for years and have never had this happen.
Food was delicious service was awful. Was offered no water and never asked if we wanted another drink. Server said he would clean the table after our appetizer and that never happened. We were celebrating our 47 anniversary (which has always been comped in the past ended up costing us 10.00! Server was more interested in entertaining certain tables but not ours. Iâll attach a pic of our dirty table. We have eaten here many times and we will go back but I wouldnât want John to wait on us again.
