Hadn’t been here since moving to area 1988, was disappointed then. Tried today for some reason… ordered nachos with carne asada. Tortilla chips and meat were kept under the warmer or in the oven too long.. burned slightly so it ruined the rest of nachos. I might try another time but not for a long while. Waitress was very cordial… I think she knew my feelings because I couldn’t even finish half.
Went there today based solely because we are vegan and needed somewhere without lard in their beans and we were with people that eat meat. Sadly, it's really difficult to find places that will accommodate vegans and meat eaters so finding Oscar's was a treat. We really were not expecting much based on some of the reviews, however this place was one of the best Mexican places we have been to. The food was fabulous and our server was attentive, kind and charismatic. Seriously, the service was amazing! The salsa and chips were phenomenal and we each ordered a vegan bean burrito that was drenched in veggies. Overall, a fantastic find and we definitely will be back!
Many vegetarian and vegan options available. I had the vegetable tamale and crispy mushroom taco, with rice and a most adorable bowl filled with black beans -- so delicious! Price was right, friendly wait staff, lovely decor.Loved the chips and salsa ?.We'll be back!
We got seated they brought our drinks and never came to take our order. Waited about 20 minutes. Finally, asked waitresses for bill for drinks because we were leaving she said Oh, we were just coming over to take your order. Said no Thanks.Just want to pay for our drinks. Which she didn't make us pay for..They weren't that busy so no reason not to get waited on..
I hadn't been to Oscar's in a long while, but always had positive experiences in the past at their old location. Went with friends last night for dinner and it was a totally different experience. We were sat without being told the menus were QR only (only one QR displayed, flipped around facing away from our table on a beer ad.) Online menu was confusing and impossible to navigate. It took 35-40 minutes for a waitress to come get our orders, and it was only because I hailed down a young employee. She replied in exact words "sorry, your waitress has been talking to her friend outside." The waitress, upon returning, directed a massive amount of attitude toward me when I expressed the length of our wait. The food was inedibly salty. I ordered albondigas expecting delicious meatballs and fresh veggies (it is one of my favorite dishes), and what I got did not resemble the traditional dish whatsoever. It was overcooked, meatballs had fallen apart and invaded the broth so every bite was chunky and salty, and it seemed reheated from yesterday or earlier. The apathy at Oscar's last night was palpable.
Seated quickly and received beverages quickly. After the food arrived, which was luke warm, never saw the waitress again. A random person placed our bill on the table without a word. I will not be returning.
Authentic flavourful Mexican food. They have a menu to fit every appetite.Full bar and specialty mimosas.
I went to Oscar's for the first time since 2020, and it was just as good as I remembered. I had the verdes enchiladas with chicken and a purple margarita. The enchiladas were delicious, with just the right amount of chicken. The margarita was really good and strong, though I wish they had added the salt on the rim like I had asked. Other than that, it was a great meal.
Enchiladas Supremas with chile verde! Yum. Friendly people, local favorite.
Not real Mexican food or even Mexican food at all... Very odd service let's put it this way I got 2 chicken tacos which looked liked something you would get out of a elementary schools cafeteria but worse and the carna a sada just yeah you guys could do better then that the shells were like rubber I'm sorry would never recommend this place unless they worked on keeping it a little more authentic if you will ..
