Incredible restaurant and awesome server Emmy. We had a reservation at 6:30 and when we arrived there was no table available but they gave us some water and asked if we minded waiting a few minutes. When we finally got seated they gave us a complimentary bowl of their marinated olives. I normally don’t like olives, but I would do some weird things for those olives. We got the Alla Lori pizza and the Rigatoni w/ pesto for our entrees. Both were amazing. For desert we got the Blueberry and Crème Fraiche Semifreddo which was also delicious. A must go place for a date night.
...was way overpriced and really not all that, or what I think it should've been. They call it Winter Stew which their menu describes as "an ever-changing hearty stew." To me it was like a really oily ham and greens soup. I'm not sure what those greens were either. Now to be quite honest, it tasted pretty good. And to be even more honest, not good enough that I would order it again. The piece of bread that came with it was annoying as well with some of its crust rubbery like it was microwaved. All this love for like $35 with tax. A $35 bowl of soup! What else can I say: oh yeah I was quite small too. Maybe it's better if you eat it there instead of getting take-out like I did. I wanted to eat it there actually. I still aint eating inside restaurants, but they have a nice outside area that has chairs and bar stools at a counter. It was like a small bar area next to an outdoor dining section. It was empty too, and I would've felt super safe there in perfect weather no less. But two of the ladies who work there said no I couldn't eat there. I should have walked away. Inside the place looks really nice by the way.
First off the vibe is amazing. Great staff and friendly faces. It was slammed tonight and we got a bar top seat in only a 30 min wait. Our server Nicole was super sweet and gave some great recommendations. Oysters, Jeffe pizza add prucutto with a side of pesto ? hubby had the rigatoni we shared and it was so delicious. A lighter wine and cocktail pairs well, I loved the aperol spritz with it. We talked to the owner such a sweet down to earth person beautiful inside and out with all the boss babe qualities. This is our 4th visit and have never been disappointed! Can't wait to check out the spring menu.
Very good pizza from a proper pizza oven, thin the way pizza should be. I've had tastier but it's also a lovely venue.Good drinks menu too.
I tried the honey pot pizza and rigatoni with sausage. Great balance of flavors! These dishes were shareable which gives you an opportunity to taste more of the delicious menu. Reservations are recommended, the place is small and fills up quickly. Outdoor patio option is also available and warm.
Always a fantastic dining experience at La Volata. Pastas are fresh and house made, pizzas are seasonal and always delicious. Great mixology program too, Zach always delights with a great cocktail.
Pizza was pretty good. My only issue is they won’t let you change toppings or create you own. It is wood fired pizza so it’s different than regular chain pizza..not loaded with cheese.Beer selection was good and the interior was pretty “bougie” I would recommend trying this place. Our server was awesome. We sat outside which was nice.
Our waitress Rachel was great. We not being familiar with the food asked her for help with the menu. Her suggestions were very good. We loved everything she handed us. 5 happy customers
I was looking forward to the dinner experience having driven all day and not eaten lunch. Unfortunately I was very disappointed not only by the bland tasting pizza, but the poor service. I arrived a few minutes after the opening, but was not allowed to sit inside even though the tables 90% empty. The host said they had reservations within 1/2 hour so we ended up eating outside in the heat with the flies. Only 1 party showed up while we had dinner, I think he could have accomdated a party of 2. I was reviewing for some friends that live in the area. I will never be back. Perhaps they have good drinks, but I did not want to drink outside.
We come here almost every week for dinner and or drinks. The honeypot pizza is my personal favorite. Anyone that says the pizza isn't flavorful must have covid. The house made ricotta and bread are also really really great.
