Awesomely surprised by the shear amount and quality of food. My wife and I were looking for something different while traveling. Found this place on Google maps and took a chance. We are both very glad we did. Decent beer selection as well as a big self serve Pepsi machine. Great sides and sauces for the food as well. We both are stuffed and we still have leftovers. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Amazing service as well.
Took pictures half way through enjoying our food. This place was delicious. The bread was not very thick but they still offer a light breaded version. Will definitly come again, the fish and chips were delicious!

Always Friendly! Best fish and chips in California so far...they have lots of combos too. Their coleslaw is fantastic and chip are always fresh, serverd piping hot. When ever we are in Redding this is the best place for lunch or dinner.

Based on reading the good reviews on Google Maps, my family stopped here for take out dinner while driving to our hotel in North Redding. The staff was very friendly when taking our order. However, I thought the fried fish had too much batter. They do offer "light batter" which is what I would suggest trying over the regular batter. They do grow in an extra piece of fish with your order (so for a 2 piece order you'll get 3 pieces of fish). I thought the meal was just ok, nothing too spectacular. I won't be eating here again the next time I'm in town.
I have eaten at The Lighthouse twice and have liked their fish and chips twice.
I've only discovered this place a year ago. Have eaten inside with friend and do takeout. Food is excellent. And large portions. Have now shared with out of state relatives and my relatives and friends here. Only wish I found it 5 years ago. Great service also. Reminder they don't cook ahead of time not til you order so it is freshly cooked

Based on location (dingy strip mall) we never would have even seen it, let alone considered it.INSIDEOld obviously repurposed former restraunt, old decor, aging vinyl seats, some tears. Dirt stains from ac vents. However, despite deferred maintenance surfaces were clean.FOODHUGE PORTIONS. Think they forgot to count…. My 3 piece came with 4 and my wife’s 2 piece also came with four. We had fish and chips - beer batter is very crispy and thick. Couldn’t taste the fish, only the deep fryer. Clam chowder was good and thick. Didn’t get much in the way of clams though.Self serve condiments.DRINKSSelf serve soda fountain. 2 prices of beers — domestic (bud, etc) and “premium” (corona, 805, etc). Personally I don’t consider those premium beers, but hey…..We went around 5pm. We’re in our early 50’s and we were youngest customers… easily!Service was fast, food was hot. We might go again.
