I rarely write reviews, but this little wine bar is too exceptional. The owners were so friendly and happy it was hard not to love this place before we even sat down. The homey atmosphere only added to the ambience. It feels like the quaint tasting rooms you'd find in Callistoga or St Helena, but in the heart of downtown Redding. The wine was delicious, the crepizza we had was delicious, and the top notch service only added to the overall experience. I only wish it was open more days of the week so we could go more often! You cant fault the owners for this, though, as The Grape Escape is essentially a passion project. Needless to say, we enjoyed every minute of our time here and will undoubtedly be back.
The crepes are really wonderful! Service was more than a little slow but I think some more wine would have taken that edge off.
Quiet and classy. Fresh Crepes are great and a smattering of French food I did not expect. Sweet and savory, wine is just fine. Ask about their Wine Club if you're a regular! :)

We enjoy the wine, food and ambience of Grape Escape. We have also joined the wine club and have enjoyed some excellent wines. I recommend you go in and enjoy some good wine and the excellent crepes, soups and pizzas made by a very friendly chef.
Sample wine, drink a bottle or buy it and the best fresh crepes in Redding. Very comfortable, great food, try the crepe pizzas!
