San Francisco's deli has best sandwiches and food in redding. I find the staff very polite and courteous. I highly recommend San Francisco deli to anyone and everyone one
The whole family loves this place! Typically I would give a 5 star but today we came in and the girl at the counter (I didn’t catch her name) was very very unfriendly. Even though we watched her be extremely friendly to the 3 People ahead of us, and then every single person after. Which really made us wonder why and feel a little discriminated against. And then my boyfriend went back up to her because we forgot to get drinks and she had the same demeanor about her, then continued to be extremely friendly to everyone else as we waited for our food. The girl had tattoos up and down her arms, a Monroe piercings and wore glasses. We aren’t sure why she was so unfriendly because we also have tattoos, piercings and were very friendly. Maybe she was just having an off moment, but it felt directed at us, specifically. Edit: Both of our sandwiches were made incorrectly but of course they fixed it at no additional cost. But the same girl at the front who was already very unfriendly was very rude to the staff and us about it. Rolling her eyes, scoffing and acting like it was a huge problem to be dealt with. As our time here progressed she kept making remarks about how busy they have been and how bad the day was to customers. As far as I am concerned, that is all really bad for business. I’m a business owner and would appreciate if people brought these things to my attention when needed, so this felt important to add.
Ordered two hot pastrami sandwiches for take-out. One with the works and one plain, meat and bread only. I didn't double check prior to leaving and sadly, the plain sandwich was not plain...unable to eat a $12.49 sandwich. If I ever go back I will not leave without double checking the order. Very disappointing.
Can’t seem to get a to-go order correct ever!Very frustrating .. most recently got a chef salad and got no turkey/ham but worst part is I got a knife but no fork! Ugh!3 YEARS LATER.. TRIED IT AGAIN... EXACT SAME ISSUE..SPENT 16 DOLLARS FOR COLD SOURDOUGH VERY LITTLE MEAT AND LITERALLY NO CONDIMENTS OR VEGGIES.. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST GO TO LUCKY MILLERS A BLOCK DOWN...

Decent Pastrami - next time I would ask for it hot and some mustard- should have mustard on the table at any deli. Busy - call in orders slow the line - good food all together
I've eaten here a few times. The setting is "meh" and basic, but the staff is friendly, and the pastrami sandwich always knocks my socks off! :) Prices are a little steep but not too jaw-dropping. It's one place I consider a go-to when I'm thinking about what I would like for a lunch out in Redding.
We have used San Francisco Deli to cater two events recently and the food & service was amazing!! I highly recommend the tri-tip & baked beans ❤️ And the everyday sandwich menu is equally great!

We stopped by here Thursday 12/2/21 on the way home from WA. EXCELLENT.I had the Hot Pastrami on home made sourdough and wife had the Hoagi. Both great sandwiches. I rate 5 stars because San Francisco Deli deserves them.
