Certainly not the best Chinese food in Redding. The prawns are the size of a small child pinky finger. They use two and pack breading around them to make them look like large prawns.I asked for no MSG and they made use of the meal they already prepared with MSG. The chicken fried rice was steamed rice with the chicken picked out of the prepared rice from the MSG order. Over priced and not to be trusted.
This was our first time ordering takeout from New China Restaurant. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious, well prepared, and full of fresh vegetables. We will be back!
Good food, decent prices, friendly service. Ordered online, which was convenient. Set up pick up time in the food was ready at the pickup time.Everything was pretty good, certainly worth getting again. Big portion sizes, delicious soup, and decent chow mein, rice, and sweet and sour chicken.
My husband and I had recently heard about the New China Restaurant in theSunset Plaza, Redding, California. We had tried all the other Chinese restaurants in Shasta County and were sadly disappointed. I am happy to say that we have found the BEST Chinese food in Shasta County!!! The food was incredible!!! The portions were large and the wait staff gracious!!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!
This place is great. Love the food. They do party size to go orders too. Great to have catered
I ordered vegetables with garlic sauce. I got what looked like Szechuan, so I called to see what could be done to fix it. I was told that is how the “garlic sauce” is done. I had to switch to oyster sauce as if they cannot make a garlic dish without adding peppers. Good luck to owners with that level of customer service.

Very good and knowledgeable staff. Very good hot and sour soup, very good kung pao vegetables, very good asparagus, very good vegetable tofu, good egg rolls. Pleasant atmosphere.
Always a good bang for the buck. Service is good. Attractive female works here. Our favorite in Redding for Chinese food. We recommend it.There are other Asian food places offering foods from their countries.
Long time customer that loved the food but last two times it was terrible. Picked up a to go order Dec9,2021 most of the order was burnt, oily, and not edible. The only thing we could eat was the sweet and sour chicken, everything else was thrown out.
