The staff was quite courteous and friendly. They were quite accommodating of our wishes and were happy to parcel fried ice cream for us. The portions are quite generous and the food was quite good. However, i would recommend going easy on the cheese as it was too much in our dish. The home Margharita could've also used some more alcohol.

It was ok. I have only lived in Redding for a couple years and still haven't found a Mexican restaurant that I will go back to. The food was not that good, very bland. Service was good and quick. But overall it was in my opinion it was pretty $$$.

Went here on Cinco de Mayo. Fairly easy to get a table and I can see why. The Margarita was OK, but the food was very bland. Absolutely no taste at all. We had the salsa, tortilla soup, guacamole and jalapeños popper all very bland. Not worth the price st all. We will not be going back.

my usual - SIDE ORDER the chili relleno n beef tamale - the first relleno here was one of the best in my life! Fluffy battered shell covered in queso n sauce, the 2nd one of my worst and the third here is undercooked. Good news - the tamales are always moist n yummy

Great food, great service, lovely restaurant with a fun atmosphere. The salsa is a little different, but it shows it's house made, they also have a unique bean dip offered alongside the chips and salsa, truly fantastic. We got fajitas and a blackberry margarita. I rarely drink, but I do taste often. The blackberry margarita was AMAZING. Kudos to whoever made it and whoever came up with the idea. Service was prompt, professional, and so kind. Absolutely, a must try place.

Whenever we drive through Redding on our way to Oregon, we make it a point to plan a lunch stop here. The food is always excellent....authentic, fresh and well seasoned. Great service and reasonable.

After a very long day of driving, and a 100+ degree temps outside, this was an oasis for us. Cold drinks, great margaritas, and generous portions. Being from Chicago, it was no different than the mexican food we could get at home. I expected a state that bordered Mexico to have more authentic cuisine. The service was attentive for my whole family, and refills were free, which was perfect on one of the hottest days of the year.

Stopped in for dinner not knowing where to go here in Redding. It is excellent food! Comfortable atmosphere, really friendly staff, and the quickest meal preparation I’ve ever experienced. Huge meals so a bonus of leftovers tomorrow. We will be back on our next trip.

We have not been here for 3 years. We have been on an adventure to try all of the other mexican restaurants in the Redding area and have had mostly great experiences and wonderful food! New years eve we were searching for someone who stayed open late and found Mazatlan open until 11:00 pm. We decided we had been gone to long from dinning here and were not disappointed. We were greeted by a familiar face! The young man asked where have you been? It's been like 3 years! It was like going home seeing the familiar faces. We were seated right away and enjoyed conversation with the staff. We had drinks, a grande margarita and a large draft beer, topped off with tableside guacamole. We followed up with grilled chicken tacos, salsa, chips, and their pinto/cactus dip. Everything was just perfect! Service, conversation, drinks and food. We've missed you all at Mazatlan and will return soon!

Nice food?big portions. Can’t order two dish n finish. Best Jalapeño margarita .
