First time patron...we enjoyed brunch and my usual test of a new place is my favorite Eggs Benedict... and not only does the menu include this classic, but it has a twist to it. They do a version that includes tomato slices and sauteed spinach leaves and topped off with a delicious PESTO hollandaise sauce! YUMMM!!! DEFINITELY a MUST TRY! I was very happy with not only my delectable meal, but the owner came by and spoke with us for a bit and we totally enjoyed our conversation. The decor is pleasant taking you back to the time of horse drawn carriages and steam trains, including the model train traversing the interior of the ceiling... so cool... our wait staff was on the spot, very accommodating and friendly.I'm definitely going to be visiting again the next chance we get!Our new favorite
I took my son here Saturday and he enjoyed the experience. The waitresses were very nice. It was very busy. We went at about 12:30. He had a bacon cheeseburger and I had a breakfast burrito. I think his burger was called the trailblazer and I can't remember the name of my burrito. He really loved his burrito and I was a little disappointed in my burrito. I'm not a big fan of boxed eggs and it tasted like it was made with egg beaters and didn't have all the ingredients listed on the menu. I didn't complain though and it was still tasty, just not what I was anticipating. The best part of my meal was the hasbrowns. I'll stick to their burgers in the future, though.
The service was great, food was good , but the gravy was horrible. It was very watery and had no flavor, so it did not compliment the chicken fried steak at all. We will visit again I'm sure.
The food here used to be fresh made. Used to love it. Now it seems the chicken fried steak comes from the freezer and is reheated the steak fries were mushy and my son's biscuit and gravy we could not even cut through with a knife because it was so hard. I'm also questioning the authenticity of the scrambled eggs. In my opinion this restaurant went from five star to a two star over the pandemic. Sorry to say we will probably not be returning as it was not just one meal that was not right, it was all of our meals. ?
If you’re looking for a long wait for a bunch of processed, from the box food that they claim is “made from scratch” and “fresh” this is the place for you. If you have any food allergies, they are NOT allergy friendly and act as if you’re an inconvenience for asking about ingredients in their food (probably because it’s all processed and not at all fresh like they claim). The coffee is basically brown water with a slightly burnt taste. The menu looked decent online but it doesn’t live up to the claims. Overall, a bad experience and I won’t be returning or recommending it. All processed, canned, frozen, etc. Pricey and not quality food.
I can’t say it’s the best place in the world but I can definitely say it feels like at home great staff and lovely people the food it’s awesome, if your in Redding California stop by you’ll love it
We had two breakfast orders, cooked exactly the way we like it. Eggs over medium were perfect! The waiter was very efficient and continued to check on us during the meal. Friends in the area recommended that we eat here... and we're glad they did.
Went there for breakfast on Christmas day. Sadly had bad experience. Both of our breakfast were stone cold when we got them. eggs cold, bacon & sausage cold and my hubbys waffle so cold would not even melt the Butter. guess they dont have heat lamps. will be awhile before we go back if ever;
my wife got me a southwestern skillet togo....it came in the smallest togo box jeffs catle company offers, and it was missing eggs no toast for $13.00.....i will never be going back to this restaurant which is a shame because everytime friends and family would visit this is the place we would take them out to breakfast too.....$200 everytime
Friendly staff! A busy restaurant and they got us in and kept everyone flowing. Amazing food and offering Mimosas on the menu is a great touch ?When in Redding we will definitely come back!!
