We stopped here on a road trip while moving from Seattle to California. It wasn’t very busy, but the town is so small.The restaurant was very clean. You order at the counter and there is a dining room if you want to eat there. The employee at the cash register was very nice and answered my questions.We ordered a torta and chorizo quesadilla. The torta was very good. The one thing I would say could be improved was the chorizo, a bit bland compared to any I’ve had before. Overall good visit.
The best Mexican restaurant I've tried in Redding so far. The employees are so nice. Great prices and huge servings.
Came here with large group of hungry teenagers (25 kids) during the busy lunch hour and the owner did a great job in being flexible with my group. Each of my teenagers ordered individually and were served quickly. Staff was very fast and very polite. Will definitely continue to give my business to this restaurant. ?
Nothing too unique about the food, except for the fried tacos. The cook did not seem to want to work with me in regards to what I would consider minor changes. The response was if I do it for them I have to do it for everyone. Chips were cold and had no salt. I'm also sad to say they do not do carnitas for the fried tacos. Overall I did not get a good vibe from the place.
We moved up to the Redding area and searched high and low for an authentic Mexican restaurant or taco truck and after trying about a dozen places or more (nothing blew us away) we finally stumbled upon El Zarape and it felt like we were eating our family's homemade Mexican food! Their El Zarape (birria) tacos and tortas are a must. Chile Verde burrito, al pastor burrito and al pastor tacos, all street tacos, their mole sauce and so much more that we'd recommend. The green salsa is delicious!
Very good! I got the steak tacos and my husband got an enchilada and chicken quesadilla. Everything was delicious and we got it all for under $40. Also the restaurant was very clean and the staff was very nice.
I have been here twice and will come back when I'm in the mood for tacos. I've had the birria tacos and the zarape tacos. Both were delicious. This time I ordered 4 zarape tacos and I was stuffed. Delicious!!
Just ate here for the first time. I got a veggie burrito and my partner got al pastor burrito. Both were a hit! Delicious! And fast service! We will be back for sure!!
Food is consistently fantastic. This time I got chicken enchiladas w rice & beans and carnitas street tacos. All dishes were well prepared. Service was quick & friendly.
Good food, fast service. Don't like their square pay service charge on top of the purchase, that aside all around great location.
