Friendly staff, fast service, excellent food!!!
Bonsai is our new favorite spot. We dined in for the first time last week & we were so impressed. The service was great, and we didn’t turn into cobwebs waiting for our sushi. The rolls were a good size & had a good amount of fish on them. We loved the flavors of the rolls, they didn’t all taste the same. We enjoyed our experience so much we came back two days later.
Best sushi in town and by FAR the best tempura as well !!! Yummy
Second time here , did not disappoint. The Mudslide sushi roll is awesome.
First of all I do like their food a lot. We have been here many times before. But tonight was an experience... we got there for dinner and they told us it was a 10 to 15 minute wait. Okay, NP. We waited 40 minutes. Finally we were seated and were not acknowledged for our order for another 30 minutes. We saw the staff walk by us so many times without even giving us a look. My 1 year old daughter was by this time already getting very impatient. She's usually great at restaurants but because it took so long she was so upset and hungry. We ordered appetizers and rolls. We got our rolls before our appetizers, which was surprising. We had to ask for our appetizers after we finished our rolls. They were busy, but we've seen the place busier and run smoother. By the time we were leaving they weren't too busy and never got a thank you or a bye. My husband refuses to go back. I am a bit sad about it but if our experience is ever like that again I probably would regret giving it another try.
A hole-in-the-wall local secret seriously fantastic food and awesome service. The people are kind, the menu is great, the food is better, and the atmosphere reminds me of a holiday in Osaka. I love it and have been back, and will be back again and again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
This was by far the best sushi in town. We come from the bay area where good sushi is incredibly easy to find and have been so disappointed in the options we've tried here. We sat outside because it was super busy. We ordered gyozas for starters and they were crisp and flavorful. We also ordered the salmon roll, tempura shrimp roll and a salmon teriyaki bento box. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. We will definitely be back again!
So much food, & so good! Very tiny place but feel like it's worth it
Outstanding fresh fish and delicious rolls. We went on a Friday night and since its a small establishment, we had to wait for a table and wait for food. Well worth it! If you’re too impatient for perfection, this place isn’t for you. The staff hustles and the prices were more than reasonable considering the high quality. We look forward to going again, maybe on a quieter, less busy night.
We ordered pick up last night and they made everything as we requested. Super yummy and a rare place in Redding with good sushi! We definitely will be getting it at least once a month.
