My son and I stopped yesterday for dinner. We waited to see if anyone would seat us or acknowledge us but they didn't. This young man Javier came by and sat us down. He waited on us which was great! I did tell him that we were just about to leave but he turned it all around by being courteous. Javier sat more people down, took care of the phone orders and waited on tables with a smile on his face. It got busy but he kept it all together. Kuddos to him!
Saturday night march 5th 2022 7:30pm...Bad service! Waited too long to be seated when there was no people waiting. Then when we got seated...they took too long to bring our food out and when they remembered to bring out my 2 daughters food they forgot my plate of salad and grilled salmon dish and even forgot to give us the utensils so we waited another 20 minutes till their food got cold while the server named megan was flirting with 2 military service guys at the bar. Another 25 minutes passed till I got my plate. It was very disappointing to have eaten at mimis. Very bad experience. I will never go back plus they over charged me up to $97.96 for only 3 plates and a salad and 3 drinks. it was my first and last...?♂️
Everything was horrible from the food to the service. And as a server of 17 years I hate to leave reviews about other servers but this was just BAD!!! It was a busy Saturday cause of the three day weekend and my family couldn't get into any restaurants cause the wait was 1-2 everywhere we went. I had small kids and couldn't wait that long. We came across Mimi's with a 5 minute wait. We spent about $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids with no drinks. We were very often left with empty water glasses and a few items I ordered or asked for never made it to the table. I left this place with such regrets that I spent my money here and with what we ate. The whole ride home (30 minutes) I was mad at myself that I chose this place to eat. It was definitely the last time for this location at least.
Mimi’s Cafe. It’s a good place to go to when it’s raining, but this particular experience on this day was not it. Appetizers took 15 minutes just to get to the table. The meat loaf was cold and the steak which was ordered medium rare came out well done. No reverse sear on the steak and the mash potatoes were soggy. The deserts were nothing to write home about. Apple pie was good, but how can you mess up apple pie. It’s literally impossible to do so. The bread pudding was the determining factor whether I would leave the restaurant partially pleased. Unfortunately it did not do so. It was drenched in butter, and a non appetizing look to it . In conclusion, Mimi’s Cafe usually hits the spot, but this time there were too many things wrong for me to enjoy my meal.

Let me start with past: Mimi's cafe used to be one of our favorite restaurants for Mother's day brunch.Today's experience: Service was slow as usual. There was a fruit fly (may be more) flying around.Our table order included SantaFe Omelette, it was half the size compared to the same order (few weeks ago). It didn't have many ingredients as listed in the menu and tomato paste (right from the can) was spread on the top. I mentioned the same to server. The manager (who BTW needs a lesson on how to properly wear a mask) comes and was trying to argue with me, telling me that's how SantaFe is made.Both the server and the manager were wearing masks exposing the nose.We are definitely not coming back!
Summary: Objectively bad overallCame for a quick lunch with family and ordered the steak and eggs and eggs Benedict. Everything was cold and congealed as if straight from the microwave. Even the medium rare steak was cold.Prices were way too high for the quality given. They don’t even offer non dairy alternatives for coffee.Won’t come back and advise you save your money and go elsewhere.
