It's a good sushi shop to visit. It's a bit expensive compared to other places at cheaper prices for what you get. But it's worth visiting.
Kabuki Japanese restaurant for me used to be the place to go when my favorite sushi restaurants were too crowded. It used to be just acceptable. I don't know what happened since the pandemic, but now the food is excellent. It taste much better than before and is fresher. The prices are also reasonable. A couple of times I can tell they were under staffed, but the service was excellent. They have now seemed to have solved the staffing issues and service is great. Also very friendly. This is now my go to in Rancho Cucamonga.
Food tasted acceptable. Prices were fair. Service was extremely lacking.It seemed as though the hostess had no idea what to do when we walked in. She just stared and waited for us to initiate. Not that it matters much, but I only mention it because the fact that the waiter also seemed like he didn't have experience in the industry or wasn't trained.We spoke/saw the waiter 3 times the entire stay and when we did see him he seemed uninterested and felt like we were a bother somehow. When the food came he palmed a bowl of rice and spoke with it, waiving it in the air. He then realized it and asked if we wanted it.... I was so confused. We had to ask additional staff for utensils when food came. It was an awkward experience.If the service was acceptable would rate 3.5-4

Good food; however, I wish the customer service had been a lot better. We had no utensils, no napkins, and at no point were we offered a refill on our beverages. I was sharing my drink with my sister because she had already waited so long for the waitress to come anywhere near us so we could ask for a refill. When we were sat, our table had a tray on it with some dirty dishes. I questioned weather our table was even wiped down. There was a table next to us whose party had just left and there was quite a bit of trash left under the table and to my surprise they didn’t even clean it before they sat down the next party. I’ve been frequenting this location for years now and I’ve never seen it this bad.
2/4Went for our sons bday because another restaurant we walked into had a 2 hour wait.We walked into Kabuki and they sat us right away.Service is amazing. Food was so delicious, they seriously never disappoint! I’m honestly so glad we ate their instead.I ordered a mixed drink and now I don’t remember the name of the drink I ordered lol. It had like mint leaves in it. It was so good though! Thank you for a wonderful experience
The food was really fresh and delicious and even though the restaurant was busy, we had a really attentive server named Alejandro. He made great recommendations for my partner who is a vegetarian and he always made sure we weren't forgotten in the corner. The world of service is tough and I appreciate how he did everything politely and sincerely. I hope he feels valued because he is awesome.
Food was good, service was decent as were prices. It did seem like they were short staffed. Tables and bathrooms dirty and food took longer than expected. Overall we would try again and see.
