Came here with my wife and didnt get waited on for half an hour for drinks, then when we finally put in our order only half of it came through We had to wait on our rice for another half hour, never received our other half of our meats will not be coming back. I recommend U grill on foothill by the 15 they wait on you quick and bring everything on time

Great Korean BBQ! It took a bit long to get us seated. We noticed the waiters were already bringing in the food to other people who came after us while we came before and were still waiting. That was like 6 months ago, we felt they were a little understaffed. The flavor is good, the portions are good. Best if you come with family and friends to share.
Service was poor. Once seated, first serving came. After that, the refills were extremely slow. Had to ask 3, 4 times for meat and drink refills. They must have literally forgotten about us, even after telling us they're 'take care of us'. Food itself was good, however the calamari was over cooked. Service was simply poor and receives ZERO stars.
The service was really amazing. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. They were so quick to bring out the meat and they made sure we got everything we asked for. Our server, Jesus made us feel welcomed and he really took care of us. I forgot the name of the manager tonight but she managed the flow so well. We are definitely coming back to this location!
Gen Korean BBQ is one of the best “Cook Yourself” Sit down restaurants ever!! I eat at Gen, for sure at least once every two weeks!! I recommend everybody to try it at least once! It has a great atmosphere and friendly party vibes,I just wish that all locations had the “Volcano Chicken” like the West Covina location!I recommend everyone to also take their dates to any Gen Locations! Best food!
The following experience with this particular Gen Korean BBQ House had happened to me not once, not twice but THREE TIMES!!! I placed an order at 6:20 p.m. for 7 p.m. pick up. I called ahead at 7 p.m. to make sure the order was ready for pick up due to previous bad experiences, and the hostess said, "Yes." I arrived at 7:10 p.m., and the hostess completely ignored me even though I was the only one standing in the waiting area while all other guests were sitting down on the couches. 5 minutes later, she finally asked for my intention and told me to wait 5 more minutes for the food. "5 more minutes" turned into 35 more minutes. I didn't received my order until 7:50 p.m.! I live just up the street from the restaurant. But when I got home, the oil in the food had already turned into grease! Disgusting!!? Although I love Korean barbeques, this Gen had earned my very last business.⚠️?♂️⛔?
Good service and good food
Let me start by saying I love Gen! It’s always great food but this location is just not doing well. The cooking utensils I got when I was seated still had literal raw meet stuck to the handle and food on the tongs. And blood on my plate (I didn’t even have food yet) i hadn’t even ordered yet and started receiving food. I tried to tell the waiter but they just said it was complimentary. (Turns out it belonged to the table behind me.) after ordering they forgot half the food I ordered so I had to reorder twice just to get my first set of food. Went almost my entire meal with no drink because even though We asked for a refill 3 times no one ever actually came with a drink untill 2 minutes before we were done and ready to leave. As I was leaving the table next to me that was just seated also sent all their dishes back because they were still dirty… oh and bathroom was out of toilet paper. People were using hand napkins. Lol I get the mistakes because you were busy but… fire the dishwasher or buy a new one please!
Long wait, decent food, great servers. The servers kind of saved the whole meal and night. Things were pretty messy, as in tables that needed to be cleaned up and they were out of a lot of beers on tap. One pitcher of beer we did try was flat. After 4-5 tries of the waitress checking with the bar and coming back to tell us they were out, we finally ended with with Michelob Ultra. Not my favorite, but the table didn’t care at that point. Maybe short staffed? Definitely a place you would come back in a pinch, especially for the price but an hour wait for a table on a Monday night was a bit much. Once we were finally seated the food came and came and came, so all good there. For under $30 a person, it’s definitely worth a try. They also have take out options!
