The food has become expensive and ill-prepared and entrees are meager now. Way too much rice and service has gotten bad. Today, (05/26/2022) the waitress refilled my spouse’s coffee mug and totally ignored mine and the empty cup was under her nose and easy to see. For a restaurant that just rearranges beans, rice and meat, the price is too high. Never coming back.
Our family eats here quite of bit like 3 times a week inside restaurant..and to go orders as wellBut lately the food is not hot when picking up a to go order..Enchiladas were gross and who likes blob of cold cheese in there Enchiladas..And when they made a mistake on our order they blamed us..Then was very rude about it..Bad customer service...and owner son who took order was very unprofessional and should be in back as a stocker instead of up front taking orders..Then very argumentive over him making a simple mistake Smh..The red sweet sauce is horrible to us and they put it on everything when we specifically said green sauceSuch a shame to recieve that kind of service when you support there local buisness..Have to find a new place to eat..Chilitos in tulare it isBad service will loose regular customers for sure..BUT THEY DIDNT CARE AT ALL
Best Mexican food in town,its always a good visit,George and his family make you feel at home and like your apart of their family..Their salsa is the best around,its so popular that people ship it to their friends and family outta state..
Good food not the cheapest in town but very good the red sauce they put on the wet burrito was kinda sweet witch was different for me but was very good
Our server was fabulous! We had a large group on a Saturday afternoon and she was smiling, courteous and friendly. Food was great and I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic Mexican food in Porterville. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Visited El Tapatio restaurant for the 1st time recentlyWow what a wonderful surprise. Everything was great, the service was really fast and friendly. The food was delicious there rice and beans were the best I've ever!!!! Portions were generous and the food was so hot and fresh we had to wait a bit before we could eat. We will definitely come back.
Like everyone else prices have gone up. But still worth the price. Great food great service.
After a long drive from Southern California. I was more than ready to Pay top dollar for some bomb food. Unfortunately we never ate. Myself and my family waited for 1 whole hour watching other people get seated with their drinks. We asked for our menus and that's all we got. ? Never again
Came here for a friends birthday and dam was i disappointed. I get there around 640pm, our food arrived at 740pm and that was all good but come to find out that on a Friday night the close at 8 pm so they gave us our food and Proceed to kick all 25 of our party out. Staff was rude and have no clue on what food service industry is. I will never be back you couldn't pay me to go back.
