I moved to this town and I was in search of the best: Enchiladas, Burritos, Rice with no Green peas or Green beans, tacos, chicken.....After trying out many places, I somehow found this place. I started out with a breakfast Burrito and then food for my kids. Good. Then I ordered hubby a Steak Burrito he let me have a bite = good. Then I ordered Cheese Enchiladas with rice and beans = good. Then I ordered steak and chicken tacos =good. I ordered Chicken Burrito with no beans equals good. Then I ordered Chicken Enchiladas with red sauce equals good. My boys and I love their SpanishRice. I finally went in and pleaded that they never change the recipe or ingredients. The customer service and food is Stellar! A+
I love the food, I love the place, I love the people. They are always so helpful and their food is amazing. Probably some of the best tacos in town. I’m in love with their salsa and when I call ahead they have my food ready so quickly! One of my favorite places to eat at.
The best chicken (pollo). My usual is: Chicken burrito, chicken Enchiladas red sauce. The rice is EXCELLENT, the refried beans are good too! My boys love their Spanish Rice too! They do not put green peas in it. Sometimes, other places will surprise me and put green peas. Um, not for me. Plus the red sauce for the Enchiladas is the right recipe. Great job to everyone at El Maguey.

This is my 2nd time ordering from this restaurant and I can't get enough. I got 2 #3 combos (2 enchiladas w/ rice and beans) and this time we got extra extra rice and beans to go with it. Using doordash for delivery it only cost roughly 35 bucks. If you have some spare chicken and tortillas at home, pffft that could all could feed a family of 4. Not bad at all. So far this is my 2nd favorite, close top for my go to Mexican restaurant in Porterville. Yummy! Thank you El Magueuy and Phillip from DD!
