I was not in mood to go out for dinner, so we just ordered takeout from here. In hindsight, we're glad we did as it was prom night in Porterville and they were really busy. I had the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce and the soup of the day. The food was good, but too much for me and my husband had to help. My husband had a kids macaroni and cheese meal that came with a side of fruit and enjoyed it.
I have had nothing but great food until today. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and there was no cheese, no thousand island dressing and very little sauerkraut. In addition the meat was crispy like bacon and not soft.
I like to eat there , Good food, I recommend this place.

We are from the East coast and have to go to Black Bear Diner each time we are on the West coast. We love the food, it is always constantly good and large portions. 5 stars for sure!
