I ordered the Classic Broccoli Chicken Alfredo. I asked that broccoli be substituted for the pasta. I've ordered this before with no problems. Tonight they tried to charge me for an "additional side" of broccoli but did not deduct for the pasta that would be removed. When I asked why, I was told "I don't know, that's just what the manager said." I've never been charged for the substitution before and this is extreme. Jack-in-the-Box does the same. They charge you as additions for substitutions, but don't deduct for what they remove. I went elsewhere and won't take my business here again.
Only Applebee's we go to. Best location in our area. The Visalia Mooneys location has let us down too many times...they don't know how to cook steak ,or they're always out of serlion and salmon. Never consistent . I highly recommend the porterville location! Always satisfied with the service and quality of the food and how it's cooked. Definitely the best Applebee's in the area .??????
The food is ok but the waiting sucks, personally I don't thing the waiting time to be seated and been serve is not worth food.
My whole visit was awful from the start. Before being seated the hostess stated they were short on utensils for our table so 2 of us would have to " use our fingers" ( I get the joke but very unprofessional). The tables were still very dirty ( food on the bench, stains on the upholstery).When our drinks arrived, we were given the actual mixer the bartender uses to pour our own drinks!? After waiting 15 mins, the bartenders have the audacity to give us empty glasses and pour my own drinks?We ordered appetizers to share and we still had not received additional utensils nor did we receive plates to share our appetizers with. Oh and the plates were dirty, of which we didn't see until after we finished eating.The food was below average. Also,I ordered a steak (medium) that was served to me on a hot plate so hot the butter melted and thoroughly cooked my steak into being well done.My waitress was no where to be found during this service unless she was bringing food or giving me the check.Being under staffed isn't an excuse to provide sub par service or have halfa-- trained employees during dinner service. I can see the owner does not care for feedback or negative reviews based on how this location is ran.
Terrible service. Terrible food. And there was a hair on our onion rings. Also a bug on my fork. Just a horrible experience ???????

The Prime Rib Dip sandwich was very salty and very tough. We could only eat half of our sandwich. We took the other halves home, and eventually threw them out, because they weren't edible. Service was slow and lacking. No refills of water.
We had a large group go in. So you do expect delays, especially when there is separate checks. The waitress was very nice and apologetic about the delays in food and drinks, which would of been understandable to a degree except that her family who came after us and was sitting across from us, were served very diligently. How would I know it was her family? She very proudly declared them and visited they're table often. I understand the importance of family but not to the detriment of customers. Here we sat ordering steaks and alcoholic beverages but we couldn't even get a water refilled once and we had a friend who didn't even get his food till everyone else had eaten!! But her family not only ate but had their orders boxed up and ready to-go home before he even got his plate. The ribs came solo, no fries. Eventually we got them, they came much later after repeated requests for that and again drinks. Just many things were missing. We got double billed for an order, thank goodness my husband checked.We weren't the only table frustrated by the service. We observed the table next to us equally frustrated.The refired steak was perfect the second time (thank you chef), onion rings great ?. But improvements can be made in certain areas.
There was only 2 of us this time. Service was great and fast. The place was not busy at this time.
I will recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meal woth there family to go to apple bees the service was excellent as always food was also delicious waitresss we had she was ver polite thank you apple bees be bck again soon ?
