Hap's food is classic and delicious. Iced veggies with an onion dip and Italian bread start dinner. Everything extra (sauce/mushrooms/potatoes) is ala carte with your steaks served with seasonal vegetables. The 7oz filet was delicious and I had it with the creamy horseradish sauce which was perfect. I also had a dirty martini with a blue cheese olive! Hap's has timeless decor and feels like a traditional steakhouse with wonderful service.

I've been here twice now. The service is second to none. My lamb chops were outstanding and the pear fruit crisp at the end was perfect! Can't wait to come back.
Took my sister and her boyfriend here and we loved it! Great staff, great food, and great experience! If you're looking for a nice restaurant to eat at, look no further. Haps is it! I had the porkchops, scalloped potatoes, potato soup and banana bread for dessert!! Amazing all I can say
The place is pricey but I'm not sure it's excessive. It has an older vibe but it's still classy. The waiting area could use some improvement but we were seated fairly quickly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered the cheapest cab on the menu: Don't do that, it was gross. ? They had a foie gras on the specials menu which was the highlight of our evening! Highly recommend!! The filet medallions and shrimp scampi were good. The lobster tail was large but slightly over cooked. The baked potato, brussel sprouts and really any vegetable side were very basic and bland. That was a little disappointing. But overall, we had a lovely evening and left very satisfied. Ooohh and I almost forgot to mention dessert: the creme brulee was great and the bread pudding was too although it has blueberries in it which caught us a little off guard. In general, I don't order bread pudding when I want something fruity but it was still very good.
My favorite restaurant on the planet! I moved out of the area so it was a rare treat to come back and find the same amazing food! highly recommend the fillet with bernaise, scalloped potatoes, grilled artichokes paired with the Pride Vineyards Cabernet and finished with the chocolate creme brulee for dessert! ???
The overall experience was just okay! The Bartender was very unattentive and absent-minded. I order 4 drinks which took a total of 40 minutes to have them prepared, ringed up and paid for... he then charged me $764. Once I informed him, he smirked and said oh the manager will fix it! It took her 10 minutes to come and acknowledge me and the mistake. She two was nonchalant about it and neither of them apologized for his error.The food was mediocre and came out lukewarm. Our server Poppy (5 stars) was attentive and spot on as a waitress! The lamb chops with the mint jelly was a taste that I wasn't prepared for, but exploded in my mouth! #MustHaveNeedless to say, I don't see myself returning here!
An unexpected delight ? The lamb chops were fantastic. The wedge salad was so delicious. The oysters were flavorful. I will make the drive from Lafayette! Plus, I met some really nice people at the bar.
Had the rib eye steak. It was cooked properly mostly to order, medium. The char marks gave a pronounced burn taste in every bite and did not allow for the beef flavor, which I don't like. The quality of the meat was not that melt in your mouth of a really good rib eye that I would expect from a steak house. It was basic cooked steak (slap meat on the grill and call it good) but a good portion size. The prime rib was much more of the melt in your mouth and was the better order Had the scallop potatoes. They were ok. For a couple hundred I would typically imagine better quality food but these seem to be weird times. Service was good though!
