Not a hygiene place. Bugs are roaming on dinning tables, can’t imagine how the kitchen is maintained.Menu card prices are different from what you pay, so pay attention while you are paying.
It's our second time dining in at Annachikadai. The food was excellent both times. They consistently try to keep the food taste and quality good . Their food quantity is worth the price and the staff are friendly and give you excellent suggestions.,They even offer free samples while u wait for ur food to arrive which is rare in Indian restaurants. we will be visiting this place often.
This place is so good! I don’t understand why this restaurant only has 3 stars. Sometimes I think people are just complainers and will never be satisfied with anything. PLUS they have no idea how hard it is to run a business anyways.Everything we ordered was really tasty. The mutton is very well flavored and the owner (I think?) gave us a free sample of a dessert drink and some soup.The food was a bit spicy ? for me but I’ll just ask for less spice next time!
We were visiting the Livermore outlet from San Francisco and chanced upon this restaurant when we were looking out to eat some good food. Dropped in today around 2 pm. Was greeted by friendly staff. We asked him for meals. While he said meals were not available, but we could order rice with different curries. We asked him about Biryani and wanted to know whether they serve Jeera rice Biryani. He suggested Mutton Biryani and it was steaming hot and just perfectly cooked. Awesome. Better than the one served at Anjappar in Milpitas. The mutton was well soaked in the spices.My wife ordered Fish curry with Rice and the moment she took a bite, she just expressed her contentment and said it was awesome. We ordered, mutton Pirattal, chicken 65 and Pomfret fish fry. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Steaming hot. My daughter suggested we pack up some food for the next day before of the taste and quality. We ordered Mutton Biryani and Idicha Chicken.The manager or owner, don't know who it is, came to our table and took feedback. He saw that the coffee served was strong and immediately called the person and asked him to set it right, though we did not complain.Awesome food and fantastic customer service. Would love to come back to try their other dishes. Authentic Chettinad food without Americanising it.
Best Indian food with native touch. And good quantity and delicious taste. Try mutton biriyani and fall in love. For the price they provide, we can enjoy every day.
The food was delicious, we ordered the mutton curry and the veg korma… BUT we hardly had any meat in the mutton curry. Only around 4 really tiny, 1” pieces. That was disappointing. I ended up boiling 5 eggs to put in the curry.
Excellent crispy Parottas. Madurai mutton curry dosa is also very tasty. Idly's are hot, fluffy and with chutney it was yummy. Chicken curry tasted great. Overall a very good experience for us.
Being a vegetarian, I don’t usually expect much from a restaurant like annachikadai, but I must say I was wrong, they had one of the best dosas, sambar, chutneys and even veg kurma. The only negative is that, they missed one item in my togo twice in a row, and the first time, the restaurant delivered it free on my doorstep
We ordered non-veg meals and the price was too expensive for the given quantity. But the taste of curries were good. The place was unhygienic. Many items were dumped in the dining area. The customer service was poor.
Liked this place. Food was rightly priced.Quality and Quantity was perfect.Service was very hospitable.Not the greatest of ambience or interior decor, but I mostly look at the food, pricing and hospitality so its a 5* from me.
