5/2/2022.Grew up loving going to nations. Unfortunately I had a bad experience today. First the staff seemed unfriendly and as if they were having a terrible day. I ordered a grilled cheese and French toast to go. When I got home the French toast was burnt on one side and placed so that side was down. The grilled cheese was wet and sloppy and if somebody thrown it together with little care. In addition there was a sliver of old looking lettuce on it, as we all know this is not how nations does the vegetables.Hopefully it’s just this location but I will not be returning.
I love Nation's. Their plain burger with grilled onions is my favorite. Add a little Tabasco and it's the best.
i feel like im gonna get mugged here but i also wanna kiss every employee on the mouth for working until-2am food service in a pandemic. uh. maybe thats a little counterintuitive but you get the point. the food slaps, too.
Today, 11/23/21 I ordered 6 whole pies and a hamburger and 2 orders of fries. The lady called me up front for me to order, then she answered the phone for a 'pick-up', which was fine. She was upset with me because I didn't respond to her...I did not know she hung up the phone. She took my order, took my $100.44 and gave me a receipt with the # 159. After 5 or 6 or more other customers came in and ordered and got their order and left, my friend and I asked what happened to our order. She also ordered 3 slices of Lemon Pie.We asked another employee where our ordered was, telling her several people have come and gone after our order was given to the cashier. My friend said we were waiting almost half hour and the lady got defensive. Saying she didn't take the order otherwise she would have completed it. The lady asked the Cook where #159 was and she reached up over the grill and got it down. The Cook told the lady that she called out the number. The lady turned to us and said 'she called the number'. No way was our number called, we heard every number called and those who ordered after us went and got their food. The lady we spoke with was annoyed with us, we didn't attack with tones of voices and all it would have taken was 'a mistake took place...we are sorry. Then I would not be writing a negative review. Stuff happens. By the time I got home my hamburger was somewhat warm and the fires were definitely cold. It was busy, and I know the ladies were doing their job but it would be nice if she had just acknowledged the error and not be so defensive. My friend did say thank you to her and wished her a Happy Thanksgiving, but believe me it was an effort for her to nod to my friend.On a positive note, this is the first time this has happened to me and the pies are good, the burgers are good and this won't deter me from visiting Nations for another pie or hamburger. I used to love Nation’s pies and would stop often to get one. So today I came to order a pie, one for to go, and I have also preordered one for the Thanksgiving. I ordered 2 pies and a coffee and ask Maria for the empty container ( as my daughter wanted a piece to eat in the car) to which she said- we do not give containers to the customers. She said: “I will give you one, but everything costs money- if you would like a slice of pie or a half, you can order one” Excuse me? I just bought two pies. I just want to give one to my daughter. Everyone stared at me, so I gave 2 dollars for the container and left. I came back and told Maria why I wanted an empty container and that other restaurant crew would always actually offer plates and forks for to go, to which she insisted that it is not their policy to give empty containers or forks to the guests. So, while the pies are good and everyone else was always super nice, I am definitely never coming back to this place ever again.
Was so great to go to Nation, I haven't been in what seems like forever. Great bacon burgers, Fries and pies. Won't disappoint!
Literally the best cheeseburger ? I have eaten in a long time. It was so good I am not even sure what the spread was...Best Foods or Miracle Whip. Can someone enlighten me? Either way that was a few days ago and I am still thinking about it, perfectly made. Kudos Nations, I honestly never thought I'd willing want your burger again( strictly because I don't eat Miracle Whip). YUMMY
Great food. Clean. Nice staff and they know how to make an egg over medium. Reminds me of an old fashioned diner!
I love Nations!This location is usually not crowded, and has pretty good service (usually.)Their burgers are cooked and seasoned very well, and you get a good amount of fries for one order.Not to mention their pies, which they are arguably more famous for than their burgers.The banana cream pie is my favorite.They also have decent milkshakes, although the strawberry milkshake is just a vanilla milkshake with strawberry flavored syrup mixed in.I believe they use fresh ice cream for the shakes, however.The place is clean, and easy to get to. Try it out!
Really bad service especially when you come to pick up takeout very irritating but the food is absolutely delicious still recommend! Changed my star rating to a 1 can't handle how much time I waste!
