Big generous rolls and a diverse menu so even those who don't like raw fish can enjoy something!!!!
So gross. Burnt roll. Supposed to be torched but they charred it. That big black thing in photo is blackened avocado. Left out ingredients. Had same thing about two weeks ago and it was amazing. Could barely eat it. At first I was disappointed that it was very small, but in the end it didn't matter.
I tried the hibachi & unagi style sashimi, so-o good. Great sake selection! Enjoyed a green tea ice- cream that was covered with tempura, set on a raspberry sauce. Yummy, in my tummy! Just don't eat the baked mussels. They weren't New Zealand mussels, & weren't baked in a cream sauce that I'm use to. But, the service was excellent, fish fresh, didn't feel like I had a lot of salt, & atmosphere was very relaxing. Make sure you get there at 5 pm., the restaurant gets filled up very quickly. That just shows how awesome this place is.
Bad place. The cooking is not consistent. Previous time was great. Then we ordered same dishes. The ingredients were missing and completely different dish than the one we ordered. I think the quality is going down hill.
Just the best… food is absolutely delicious. But beyond food.. Mr Honda is an amazing host.. I don’t think we will ever move out of Pleasant Hill just to stay in close proximity of Mr Honda…

We ordered volcano rolls and Bubba gump roll.The volcano roll was canned tuna fried! Our stomachs have been hurting/talking for over 24 hours now ;)The Bubba Gump roll actually tasted good, but it seemed like frozen fried shrimp that was thawed, rolled up into sushi rolls, and then fried again.Vualla! 2 stomach aches for $50 please.Thanks!?
Love it Love it Love it. Best sushi in Town. If you are working or living in Pleasant Hill/Concord area, you gotta try this place. ^^
The family that owns his business is so sweet. The food is AMAZING. They have great portions, great prices. I came here to eat with my bf late tonight and wow they were so friendly to us. We were the last table eating. the owner even gave us free shots and vegetable gyoza on the house. Like wow was not expecting so much kindness it's rare to go to a restaurant and recieve this kind of treatment. I don't live in the area but I'll make sure to come back again whenever I am. I love supporting small businesses like this. Thank you for being so kind to us. We can't wait to come back with our family.
Another great meal and entertaining evening at Jo's Honda Sushi. Very fresh, artistically presented, and everything tasted great. We will continue to return to this local gem.
