So first time having lamb chops ( after having dinner here for YEARS). They are EXCELLENT! Wanted them cooked medium instead of the usual rare- cooked perfectly. The Impossible Burger was a great substitute for the regular beef — and the rings were really nice and crispy! The calamari with the jalapeños are always a big hit !!!

It was good. Fries were a bit salty. I'll have to return a few more times to have a more substantial review. Lamb meatballs were very good. Pumpkin bread pudding was yummy. I felt like I was missing something thou...maybe pasta for the meatballs. It was a fair visit. Meatballs, fries& desert totaled $30+. Servers get a 5star alone. They were attentive, fast&friendly.
We use to love to go here for dinner, the fried calamari w/jalapeño, and happy hour pre-pandemic.I was craving their calamari w/jalapeño so I called for a puck pick up and sadly it was AWFUL! It was over cooked so it was chewy, had far too much salt with NO other flavor to speak of, and it was really oily. It's the 3rd time we've dined or ordered out here this year and have found ourselves disappointed with the food all three times!So many restaurants that people use to enjoy pre-pandemic now cut corners, significantly raised their prices, and sell crapy food. It's disappointing that Jack's is one of them!

Salty microwaved cold main course ..wonderful .. Served 5 mins after I ordered ..so fresh .. ?amazing things the old micro .. rather have buttered cardboard probably more tasteful ..Coleslaw was nice more coal than slaw. Well if you read between the lines you may notice not that impressed .. think quality could do with a refresh .. not quantity .don’t be put off by my review ..if you aren’t fussy this place rocks ..fresh veg loves this place as it it’ll never get served Anyway apologies if I upset Jack ..but hey you took my money so we are all even xx
5 Stars for Brett in the Tab room. Not only he will educate you in the beer making but he has created one of the best selections of beers in the bay. I am a Hazy fanatic and #4 & #6 are exceptional.
I went to Jack’s in Pleasant Hill last night after bragging how good they were to my son because of my experience I had at the San Bruno location. I feel it wasn’t a good experience, here at the Pleasant Hill location. I ordered the meatloaf which is what my coworker ordered for lunch at the the San Bruno location last week. Her meatloaf was huge and it took up the majority of the plate, but when I got mine last night it was half the size of hers and the mashed potatoes were slightly too watery. My son ordered the shrimp scampi pasta, which is what I ordered at the San Bruno location. He stated that it had no flavor and again his too was watery. We didn’t have to ask for bread at the San Bruno location, as soon as we sat down we were served bread and butter. Here at the Pleasant Hill location, we weren’t given any bread and butter until I asked for some after receiving our food. When we got it, it was cold. How is the butter supposed to spread on the cold bread? No, we didn’t complain because I’ve learned my lesson in regards to restaurants, chefs, and sending the food back. The only thing that was good was our Asian wings and our server Chris was nice. I asked my son if he wanted to come back for breakfast; He stated maybe we should go to the San Bruno location, since my experience there was better.
This is a terrific restaurant with consistently delicious food and excellent service. I often go there for both business meals and personal ones. Last night I had the pleasure of dining there with my daughter and a friend from out of town, and the service that we received from Griffin was nothing short of exceptional. He was attentive, courteous, and made sure that we had everything we needed exactly when we needed it. Thank you very much… We look forward to continuing coming back.
