Country potatoes were wonderful! My eggs were cooked like I ordered. However, the biscuit was so stale and bland I didn't even bother a second bite. Hubby got an English muffin and it was burnt instead of toasted.
This place is friendly & kind. We brought drinks & used the restrooms. This place has the cleanest womans bathroom I have been in. As a public place I usually don't expect much from the restrooms but this place was spotless. If I didn't know better I would of thought my Mother had done the cleaning. I met the gentleman who had done the work. He couldn't understand me but the Manager interpreted to him. I would recommend this place for anyone. Very friendly & warm.
The restaurant is clean. Service is fast and friendly. The cooks always get it right even when it’s busy. Today my waitress was Amanda C. She did a superb job. My favorite breakfast place in the Placerville area.
We've been to Mel's Diner before several times and have always liked it. This time we were there 15 minutes before closing on Sunday night. They smiled and said we're happy to help you with take out but we're not doing any dining in at this hour. We were fine with that and ordered. They fixed it and begged it up with another smile. It was good and we'll go back.
Always love stoping at this location. Services and food are amazing. Food portions are very generous and comes hot to the table. The staff is very friendly and personable. Amanda and an older gentleman was “ superb“!! Highly recommend this place and will be back in future.
Food was nice it was okay. Service was not very good. Waitress never came back after serving us our food. We had asked her for a couple of things she never returned.
Has been a long time (decades) favorite when going to and from the lake. It was unfortunate that my last visit was not what would normally be expected. Early evening hangout for the younger locals and servers chilling together. Dinner was warm and salad served at the same time. Checked on one time in an hour. Waited 45 for check after completing dinner. Will keep going hoping things get better. Times have been tough for everyone.
Great restaurant to have a good burger n fries, ice tea or milk shake. They offer many other dishes as well. I've never been disappointed and it always beats Mc Donald's in quality, value and price. The staff is always pleasant and fast and the decor is interesting to look at as they have a 1950s "Happy Day's " theme. All in all I don't feel one can possibly visit without leaving full n satisfied.
Service was horrible took the server 20 minutes to help us. That’s only because we wave at them. Sat us away from the crowd. Which was odd. once they took our order it was faster than the wait . I would of gave them 5 stars if their service wasn’t horrible.
I like the place because the food was hot and served in a timely manner. The server was great and very attentive to our groups needs. Thank you!
