Bland food and even worse salsa (green salsa tastes like a wheatgrass shot?).... if you want decent Mexican food visit Placerville's (Diamond Springs) "Taqueria El Carneval"... one exit away and ten times more amazing food and traditional salsa choices.... I rarely post reviews so it means something

The quesadilla’s are insanely good. Just wish a mexican place here in California had the mini flour tortillas for Tacos. Its like I can only find them in Mexico or Yuma Arizona my hometown.
The food is amazingly flavorful, and huge, alpastor burrito made me want to take a nap, still full a few hrs later ??
First time going there. Bought the cheese papusas, chicken and cheese quesadillas and 3 types of tacos (al pastor, carne asada and chicken), and all were delicious and food prep was fast. Staff is very friendly and patient

Sort of a take out place with a few tables out front. I ordered the fish tacos. Of course during covid they had people wait outside and they would bring out the orders. The food was good. The inside is like a market or store with a deli counter that makes Mexican food. The tacos were good. Lots of laborers outside - so that is usually a sign that it is popular at a good price.
