An easy to miss place on Main Street, but what a gem. A friend at on of the Aplle Hill tasting rooms recommended. The staff is super friendly. We had the bacon cheeseburger and the lamb on grilled sourdough and they were exceptional. Worth trying out - you will not be disappointed.
Highly recommend! We stopped on our way back from Tahoe and saw this mentioned in reviews of Placerville downtown. Ordered the crab cake sandwich, the earth burger veggie burger and the gold diggers hand chicken fingers + fries to go over the phone with the friendly host. Found street parking and walked over. Everything was well packed with silverware and napkins and ketchup. Paid cash although they take card too. It’s a small active store front with larger tables and restrooms at the back. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, especially Chef Sanders, which really made our day given a long day of travel. There were messages of thanks and gratitude on each to go box.The food was yum, perfectly crispy fingers and fries and with fresh greens and fruit, and the vibe of the people was so lovely and inviting. So glad we stopped by, and hope to again when we are in town.
Just had the most amazing food at the Womens Fund Of El Dorado event catered by Old Town Grill the enchiladas and the vegetables so yummy .
Folks this by far the best burger place in Northern California. It is one of the very few restaurants that get better as the time goes. The owners and the staff are very nice and professional. They have a variety of burgers including bison and elk. All their products are locally bought. None of their foods are industrial grown. John is awesome and always asks how we like our food when we are there. Would recommend this place to everyone in California.
Very nice staff, everyone was really friendly, and the food was great! I got the old town dog. There's a nice outdoor seating area/patio with nice decor and a macaw! Nice people, nice food!
The price of the food and the quality is great. The soul burger with the seasoned garlic curly fries is just such a nice warm new found comfort food. The service was great and I didn't feel rushed while looking at the menu, the server asked us our names and was very polite and attended everyone while being the only server, she also got us refills on the self served soda machine if we needed. There was a beautiful parrot called Sierra in the back seating near the entrance to the patio. The server cleared the tables very quickly when we finished with the food and I'm pretty sure even one of the cooks (it was actually the owner my apologies) came out to check if everything was good (it was so great) I plan to come here again in the future. I love everything about this.

The meat is ground fresh and he always has a new array special Burgers every time I go to Placerville. It's sad that emu Burger is gone but it was replaced with many other wonderful Burgers you won't find just anywhere. This place is always a treat when you go to Placerville good job chef and crew!

Old Town Grill is friendly, reliably delicious, and offers a gourmet twist on burgers, salads and grilled fare. We are repeat customers, and love to either sit at the big front window people-watching, or the back fountain patio if we brought our dog. Always accommodating. ?
