Wow! We were driving up 50 to Tahoe and needed some nosh. Looked a a few reviews and decided on this spot. Super fresh ingredients, lots of vegetarian options. Salads, sandwiches and pizza. We tried all 3. Delicious!!! Wine flights were a surprise we didn’t expect. So nice to try the local El Dorado wines. Highly recommend the Madrona Reserve Dry Riesling and the Lobster bisque! The butternut squash pizza and the ginger bread lemon desert. Bonkers!!!
One of our favorite restaurants- the food & service never disappoints. The ribeye steak from kings meats was cooked to perfection!

Whenever we head up to Apple Hill from Napa we have to stop at Heydey! It’s our tradition… love the food, atmosphere, and wine!They have many local wines that are so good that I would have never tried had we not been there…Oh… and the Lobster Bisque… so good!
Such a great place with a feel good vibe. Food is spectacular and service is impeccable. My go to place several times a week. I wish to eat quality food and the good news Heyday Cafe only serves quality food.
I love this restaurant. There are so many good places to eat on Main Street. But, Heyday Cafe is in my top two. I love everything I’ve ever eaten there. The staff is friendly, too, which makes it special. The food is delicious as is the wine selection. I highly recommend it to everyone.
This will be our first choice in Placerville going forward! Our other two choices were closed for various reasons but I had saw this place had good ratings so we went ahead with lunch and, Wow!, were we surprised at how good the food was. We even took a lunch to go for the next day it was so good! My daughter had a delicious pizza (I can vouch for it because I ate a slice) and I had a delicious salmon salad that had an amazing dressing. My wife had a chicken salad that she just raved about and she asked for the salmon salad to go. A few notes about the service: very attentive! we interacted frequently with our waiter and it was always great! And the vibe was really great; even though it's downtown Placerville and has a cool Old West Gold Rush vibe, the interior was a deconstructed old brick building with no ceiling and exposed rafters. We really loved our food and the vibe and the service!

Incredible attention by the wait staff-but getting the delicious food to the table took more time than you would have thought. This is a smaller, intimate restaurant in the heart of Placerville with great ambiance. The menu is somewhat limited (salads, some sandwiches & pizza). However, what they do make is delicious to both look at and eat. They have a nice beverage/alcohol menu with variety. Prices are average compared to similar establishments. I would definitely return for a fun lunch with friends!
