The owner was a lovely lady who explained everything I asked her to a T. She was very friendly, patient and very attentive to her customers. The food was amazing best mushroom I have ever had in my life. We didn't have reservations and still they made room for me and my family. Highly recommend the Canneloni and the stuffed portobello mushroom. Definitely will be back!

Fitted us in on a busy Saturday night. Food and service exceptional. Friendly staff. The charcuterie platter was the best ever. Stuffed artichokes loved by the veggie in the group.

Mangia (eat), Bevi (drink), Siediti (relax) in this charming Italian restaurant tucked away at the back of Creekside Place on Main Street in historic Placerville. New owners Fredrico and Simona make you feel right at home immediately. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared!

Wonderful food:) great service. We started with the bruschetta but ate most of it before I remembered to take a pic. The house Italian wine the owner recommended was delicious. I had the cheese ravioli and she did half beef ravioli as well. My son had the ravioli special. It’s the best ravioli I’ve ever had. They also brought two little biscotti with two tiny glasses of port at the end of the meal. Very nice touch:) Wonderful place. I highly recommend.

Truly authentic and delicious food. Plus they have an excellent selection of wines. This is the cutest little mom and pop hole in the wall that every local needs to experience at least once. We’ll definitely be repeat customers.

We sat on a half-hidden patio over some small stream which felt nice. The food was good and sometimes inventively laid out. The staff did everything fast, they were genuinely friendly, our waiter was knowledgeable and passionate about the wines they served (in a good way).

True authenic italian food. New owners are from Italy and many of the food items are shipped in from Italy. You won't be disappointed. Service and menu are fabulous.

I don't know much about Italian food, but I do know good vibes and great people. The owner's awesome, and the service is wonderful. Food was hella yummy. Would recommend. :)

Absolutely love the ambiance of this beautiful restaurant! The staff and owner were exceptional with their care and friendly service! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND with food preparation of having a food allergy and made sure we were well taken care of!!! We will absolutely return and would recommend this restaurant for the most authentic Italian cuisine in the area!!!

After a day of wine tasting and scenic driving, my friend needed to charge her electric vehicle in Placerville. We stopped into a darling boutique near the charging station, and while shopping asked for dinner recommendations. This was one of two places mentioned, and my friend and I both love Italian food so Mi Amore won. The restaurant is small, in the back of a small shopping alley, and decorated in a kitschy/quirky manner. It was also empty, but it was right before 5 pm. (It filled up by the time we left) We crossed our fingers and entered. We truly did not expect how authentic and delicious the food would be. We ordered the lasagne, the tortelloni, and the orecchiete with shrimp (special). The three of us split a salad as well. Everything was delicious. EVERYTHING. The new owner chatted with us and the waiter chatted with us, and we learned that the new owners are from Italy and purchase as many ingredients as possible from Italy. Regrets? Cannoli was one of the specials and after we ate we saw it delivered to the next table and YEARNED for a bite even though we were full. We also didn't try any wine because we were wined out by that time. The only item less than stellar was the beignet dessert with three chocolates. I mean, they would have been okay after any other meal, but after what we had for dinner, our expectations were high! My two cents? Order whatever the special is, because you don't want to see it go by and wonder what might have been. Split a salad, because ours was every bit as amazing as our entrees. And skip the dessert, or at least the beignets. We live in the Bay Area and have a trip to Placerville in mind just to eat here again. I can't wait!
