Came for lunch at 1:30pm on a a Friday. Not busy. Service friendly and great. Clam chowder hot and delicious. Caesar salad tasty. Perfect amount of dressing. Lemonade actually tastes like lemonade and not chemicals. Its very good (any lemonade drinkers know it can be very hit and miss).Ordered Turkey burger with cheddar and fries and a chicken avocado sandwich with onion rings. They do give you tons of food with your order. Soup, fries (or fruit or cole slaw) and entree. The Turkey burger was juicy and delicious and the bun is toasted. The fries are solid even though they are steak fries and I generally dislike steak fries. Chicken avocado sandwich is on point. Onion rings solid. Not crazy about their ranch dressing though. Only negative. This place is great!
This was a fun atmosphere to have breakfast. The decor really makes this a unique experience. The classic cars converted into seating was a nice visual treat. Breakfast was good although the hash browns had a bit of a artificial flavor. The eggs and chicken fried steak were cooked properly and tasted fine.we had a good waitress that was busy but did check on us regularly. Overall a good experience.
Went to Mr D's for memorial Day lunch sat at the bar enjoyed steak and eggs and my father enjoyed a turkey sandwich Mr D's is one of those neighborhood diners that I hope stays around
Comfortable, retro-styled restaurant with bar. Food quality is iffy. Lots of choices. Decent service. Busy on the weeknight we visited. The beef in the "Roast Beef Dinner" was thin, deli-sliced, briny, sandwich meat covered with brown gravy. Gravy tasted nice; over the roasted veggie side dish it was delicious. But even the huge baked potato option with perfect accompaniments couldn't compensate for the gross, processed taste of the meat. Granted, I mistook the menu title of roast beef as meaning pot roast. So I was very disappointed.
A fun, nostalgic dining experience. The server was very attentive. The hostess told jokes. The food was good. There's a car booth you can pay extra to sit at for special occasions.
I applaud the attempt this restaurant makes to create the feeling you are an "All American" diner. There's a fifty's theme mixed with murals of the local city of the artist interpretation of what the town may have looked back then. There is even a partial Chevrolet converted into a both to sit and enjoy dinner. The food options are typical for any diner featuring breakfast lunch and dinner options at anytime. There are couple dinning areas that offer secultion from the main dining area (possibly for larger groups). There is also a small separate bar area. However, the restaurant falls short in its attempt to transform the environment into into that diner it so wants to be. Most notably missing is a walkup countertop with stools as you would notice with older diners. There are few bakery options. Food price on the high end for the basic options. If you want to sit in the Chevrolet booth it will cost you group an extra $20.Overall, decent restaurant. A step higher then the corporate diners. Friendly staff. Live music (on certain days). Restroom facilities are clean.
I have only order out once so far; the reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I've ordered the club sandwich. I was expecting the quality to be just okay or 'meh.'But I was surprised how good it tasted and was surprised on the portion. I had just ordered it for myself but the portion was enough to feed two adults. A little pricey but the quality and the portions were worth it.Will give it another go once I got money to burn.
Great food, Good prices, Very clean Restaurant, Very Good service, Large menu, Great Decor, 5 stars from me. THANK YOU!!
My first time eating there. I had a chicken spinach leaf salad. Lots of chicken, avocado, tomatoes, eggs, bacon. I had blue cheese dressing, which I found out was homemade. I would definitely recommend eating here
Really good food. Very attentive waiters
