We haven’t visited until recently.. We loved this place. authentic & delicious mexican food (of curse I’m a mexican), extremely friendly & attentive service as always.. Last visit was around 3 years ago and everything still amazing and delicious… Highly recommended..this time we ordered “chilaquiles con pollo” and “menudo”
I loved this place. Unassuming location with authentic & delicious food, extremely friendly & attentive service, and low prices. Our server was very welcoming and attentive, and the food we ordered was fantastic. I got the mole rojo and 2 birria tacos, my girlfriend got the shrimp fajitas and we were both very happy with our orders and amply stuffed. Ask for their hot sauces on the side as well, the green sauce has pork in it as is DELICIOUS.
Called in for pick-up on a Sunday morning. Wait time was ~20 min, not bad.Had the breakfast burrito and the torta with carnitas. Both were fine but not great. The breakfast burrito was 70% bean - it was difficult to taste anything else. The torta was fine but disliked that there was only 1 slice of a jalapeno and the cheese was a block slice (was expecting shredded cheese to cover the entire length).
Family run mainstay of Placentia's Old Town, serving flavorful, Mexican dining classics, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Generous portions. Friendly, attentive wait persons. The street in front is closed to vehicle traffic and is a pedestrian walk. No sounds of traffic. Parking on surrounding streets and city lots.
Drove 30 mins to get here and they aren’t open. Learn to update your listings. Silver lining is I now have a new restaurant to give my business to. El Sabroso Grill, right down the street. El sabroso is fantastic
Had great service for lunch. Had the beef soup and the Chili Verde plate. Both were delicious and filling.
Met friends for lunch. Fast service, no waiting for a table and everyone was very nice. Met some of the family owners. Nice people who stayed and talked with us awhile. I think you'll have a nice time here to. Give them a try.
The best Mexican food comfortable seating friendly
I really love there menudo, it dosent smell,if you know what I mean, lol. Very family oriented.
YUM! Good sized dive in old downtown Placentia. Had TVs with a basketball game on visible from every seat in the place.. I had a bit of trouble hearing my dining companion,, but I have tinnitus and hearing loss and he (85 yrs young) mumbled softly. Most people will not have a problem conversing. Now for the food..Delicious! They make their own chips, thicker than any I've ever seen, tasty and light on the salt. We also requested a refill of chips with our food and there was no charge. The salsa is perfection! I had a chili relleno, rice and beans, my companion had a small nacho plate. Serving sizes in both instances was generous with us both taking home leftovers. Nachos used the same thick Tortilla chips already mentioned and my companion raved about the onions. They were sweet and freshly cut. The beans, meat and cheese were all over the top of the chips and there was a big mound of sour cream and guacamole.Mine came with three piping hot flour tortillas (I chose flour over the corn). Put in some of the relleno, beans and rice and it was wonderful! I wish I could clone this place in Chandler, AZ. As it is, I'll be back and will have to be content with that.
