⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ celebrated 80th bday party at this Don Chente location. When reserving they were courteous allowing me to rsvp for a party of 17. They were diligent bringing up special details like Cake and timing on singing Happy Birthday. Upon arriving me and my group we’re warmly greeted. We were sat in a special section feeling VIP’ish. To start We ordered Margaritas, aguas frescas & Side of Pork Chicarrones! My moms friends ordered Menudo, Tortilla soup, Enchiladas, Moles, Mariscos! Everything was delicious!! Any Mexican food your looking for is available here.The atmosphere and decor is warm and inviting. Their play list of music is right on point. I was impressed that the owner “Vicente” stopped by to say Hello! I highly recommend Don Chente Bar & Grill for a party of 2 or even a party of 17!
This place is TERRIBLE!! We walked in and sat down, no one helped us for 30 min until we called someone. We walked in on a Tuesday when only four tables were occupied. When the person took our order it seemed like she didn’t want to help us, we weren’t done ordering and she was already leaving. We ordered a bucket of seltzers and the bucket didn’t have nice. Like seriously!!!! NO ICE. You gotta be kidding me ?♂️?♂️ the food also took too long to come out
I was so pleasantly surprised by how good the food here was, from the salsa and chips to the very end nothing disappointed me. I’m a vegetarian and I asked for the enchiladas so be subbed with quesillo (they use real quesillo too!) and they were really good, drinks are good and strong as well. I will say it’s a little pricey but the food is good so I didn’t mind.
The environment is lively and energetic and it's a nice looking restaurant, but I don't ever believe that I've had bad Mexican food until dining here. The enchiladas were tasteless, the steak in the surf and turf were dry and tough. Our server didn't take action after we told her we didn't like the food and never came back to the table for refills, clearing, etc. When we asked to speak to the manager about taking the food off from our check, we couldn't communicate with them because they didn't speak English. Fortunately another employee was able to translate and we got things sorted out but poor service and experience by far.
Not likely I'll be back. I do not recommend the rib eye steak. It's more like carne asada. It's a thin cut of a steak. Comes with like 7 undercooked tiny cubes of breakfast potatoes and a small side of veggies.Their mariscos are probably good. I didn't try them but it looks good.There was a problem with the food, there was a problem with the bill and lack of communication from the server.It's a shame because I really liked this place. The atmosphere is pleasant. I actually didn't want to leave a review because it was a bad review and I figured I'd give it a second chance, but after I got the bill and was being charged for something else I didn't order, I wasn't happy anymore.
I had to ask for the Mundo fixing drinks, but went the check came... SHE WAITED FOR PAYMENT. STOOD THERE FOR MY CARD. really BAD SERVICE. I'm 63 disable grandma and no way that I could run out without paying.
Cool vibes great music food is okay
I will absolutely never go back … the service is absolutely horrible … if they continue to treat customers this way, they will go out of business .., we had a 3 drinks before we ordered … it took them almost an hour before they even asked acknowledged us … the place was not even half of its capacity … this place needs customer service training before it gets busy
I’ve given it a third try and the food and drinks aren’t good at all. The meat and chicken are very dry not juicy at all. Shrimps are dry and flavorless. The cocktails aren’t good . You can tell they use cheep vodka. And only vodka. Won’t ever go their again. The only thing I did love was the music and the ambience. The look of the place . Other then that everything else isn’t good. Don’t think it’s worth it. I’ve been to less expensive places and the food is way better. Don’t recommend this place .
By far one of the worst food experience. So lets see my family dinner was closed to $600, 5 of the plates we ordered were not good 2 we didn't even eat we had to return them. Took for ever to take out ourser and for the food to come out, some was cold when it finally did. The cheese cake crust was burnt to the point that was bitter. And when we told the waiter our concerns he got super defensive as if we were wrong for not liking the food. Don't go here Don't waste your money here.
