We have tried prime rib everywhere and I’m telling you we tried it for the first time last weekend and it blew our socks off. The attention to detail on the to go order was also outstanding. No joke. Five stars!
Heading back to the California Foothills after spending a few days in Bodega bay. We were really hungry and looking for some breakfast. We happen to see the Washoe house right on the side of the road. The reviews were pretty poor but upon entering we are greeted by a nice older gentleman behind the bar and when we sat we were immediately greeted by our waitress who took drink orders. The atmosphere is a dive bar but the tables were clean as well as the silverware and the service was polite, prompt and friendly.I ordered eggs sausage and Country potatoes, my wife ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of hash browns and my daughter ordered the pancake egg and bacon. All were cooked perfectly. Everything came out hot and fresh. We were so thrilled with this experience we will absolutely make it a ritual when we're turning home from the coast. Can't say enough good things about this little hole in the wall even the bathrooms were clean. Can't wait to go again.
Tasty food and decent prices, a little on the high side. Amazing customer service!
Been here many times before covid. Walked into the bar. They now have a menu. I ordered an appetizer and a shrimp Louie. My appetizer was served to the 2 men next to me. My salad was served then my appetizer came. The bar tender laughed saying that is a lot of food. Won't be going back. Spent over $55
Experience a small slice of Sonoma County history, as told through the lens of this storied old rural tavern. This place has a diverse crowd but seemed like mostly older regs and locals. Bartender when I went recently was a friendly young woman who was very attentive to customers even though she was flying solo when the place was fairly busy. The food was quite tasty too, so don't let the slightly rough hewn look of the place fool you. They seem to run a tight ship and a clean efficient kitchen. The decorations are over the top (you'll see what I mean), but they perfectly set the eclectic tone at this outpost on the outskirts of town, that's been serving up drinks and conversation since long before your great grandparents were born. Places like this have a timeless quality, and while the crowds, or workers, or even the proprietor may feel like they own the place... We are all just passing through...
Stopped here on the way home from our coastal vacation for breakfast. Upon entering the restaurant, we realized it is also a bar. Everyone is very friendly and service was very good. The menu is simple, but still has many of the main dishes we were looking for. I ordered the chorizo skillet and my husband order the chicken fried steak. Both meals were great and no complaints. The bar is very unique, it has money hanging everywhere from the ceiling. Appears to be a local favorite.
I was on my way to do some video shooting on the coast of Sonoma. I was coming from Oakland, CA and unfortunately, I forgot to eat breakfast. I told myself along the way that if I saw a spot that sold breakfast, I would go in. This happened to be that place. And I'm sure glad I stopped in. It has a unique atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Dollar bills are nailed to the ceiling and everyone looks at you for a moment. It's a bar but also serves food. And since it seems to be the only one in the area for a few miles, it was packed with townspeople. I bought a beacon, egg and cheese sandwich and man oh man... It was DELICIOUS! I'm not exaggerating either. This was the best breakfast sandwich I've had since living on the west coast. I highly recommend stopping in if you're ever in town.
We had a great lunch in a friendly place. The food was solid and the drinks were strong :)
Love it! I had the ceasar salad with prawns and really did not expect it to be soo good:)
Our first time visit today on our way to Bodega Bay. We always see this huge red barn like house restaurant at the corner, so today is the day to try them. We were greated and seated right away for family of four and was offered the big round table at the back that can seat 6 people easily. Although rhe menu is not that big, the food is great. Looks like they have regulars that dines there. Full bar is also available. You'll be taken by all the dollar bills that are pinned on the ceiling, it is covered with it. My neck started to hurt looking up LOL. We will definitely come back as a new option for us when we are in the area.
