Disappointing: It was our anniversay and we chose to dine at Sugo based upon past visits. We have enjoyed our past visits, but I admit it has been awhile since we were in. My husband and I both ordered the burger med well. Mine was cooked great, but his too pink. They offered to take it back, but we switched boards and made do. The greens served with the burger tasted like they were tossed lightly in olive oil, with no acidity and the burger was too salty. The menu said the burger was served on a rosemary chaibatta. Couldn't taste the rosemary, and the bread was nondescript. The foccicia bread we ordered was flavorless and reminded me of fluffy white bread; just OK with the olive oil, balsamic blend. Our son had the Fettuccine Alfredo and subbed in the grilled chicken. Sauce was a bland white sauce, noodles undercooked and chicken unseasoned. Even the appearance looked off. Oddly, there were also some hard pieces in the sauce as well. (See coffee mug plate). We did tell the waiter about the dish and he did offer something else but our son declined since we had finished eating. The waiter brought the check without even offering us dessert. We paid, took the chicken from the Alfredo dish along with the leftover burger for our dog. Definitely not the same quality as on our previous visits and I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

This place has been going for years, and will still not disappoint. Annette and Pete took over the place from Annette's parents in 2007 and still keep up "mama's" recipes and standards. The space is all black walls and glass to give it a modern NY feel. But the food which is served fast and tastily by friendly staff will not disappoint. We visited for a late lunch after a hike and were hungry 70-somethings...our Seafood Risotto and Fettucini Prawns and Scallops hit the spot. Prices are reasonable for SoCo winecountry at this quality level, wines are, as always these days, pricey so we enjoyed a Peroni lager and a Ace pear cider instead. Plenty of outdoor and inside seating and surprisingly muted for backgound musak and sounds which is important for us "oldies" Thanks to Annette and her staff.

This was just ok. We started out with the trio bruschetta. I have to admit I’ve had way better. I was wondering where in the world is the mozzarella on the typical basil tomato and mozzarella bruschetta? Bit disappointing that my filet mignon took almost 1 hour just to take a bite with no flavor whatsoever. It was like they just threw it on the grill and that was it. Bland. Asked for salt to help the flavor out a bit. Husband had The burger it was good and I do recommend it. Service was ok.

Really good experience great atmosphere. Great food. And there wine selection was pretty good as well.

We had the distinct displeasure of eating at Sugos in Petaluma, cA. First or all, the waiter kept pushing us to buy a bottle of wine instead of ordering a glass. Since my husband does not drink, I opted for the glass, which was not inexpensive. When the waiter brought me my drink, my husband and I were amazed at the miserly pour. When my husband commented on this to the waiter, he said for me to finish my drink and then he would rectify the situation. I finished my wine, which did not take long in anticipation of a refill. Much to my dismay, the waiter said he could not pour more wine without my ordering a new glass, as the owner was watching nearby. I did get another glass. The restaurant had two sizes of pours which I now believe would have been equally small. We will never dine at Sugos again. The owner lost a local customer over a miserly pour of wine...As far as my original question goes: TO POUR OR NOT TO POUR...ACCORDING TO SUGOS...IS NOT TO POUR....

We thought we would give this place one more try. The food is not to our taste except for the Chicken Marsala. But the waitress we had today put a nail in the coffin. She agreed to bring olive oil for the bread and didn’t. Then she disappeared. When I complained she just said “I can do that.” I said,”You said you would do that before.” No apology from her. Then she disappeared again. The food took forever. The waitress was cordia but not friendly but there was tension. She is in the wrong line of work. Or needs retrained. I briefly complained to the woman behind the bar who appeared to be a manager about our order but she didn’t say anything to me. Just talked to the waitress. We won’t be back. Tortilla Real next door is much friendlier and has better food and drink. The owner there even came out and talked to us.

A friendly environment- delicious food- safe & perfect location

Saturday night got lucky for a table of 3 outdoor. Very pleased with the service and food. Food was delicious and over salty.

This is my favorite place to eat when visiting Petaluma. I'd never had bruschetta before but let me tell you the bruschetta here is to die for. When I crave bruschetta, I crave SUGO's bruschetta, not just anyone's. I love that I can pick 3 flavors for a reasonable price. My favorite bruschetta is the gorgonzola, honey and walnuts but I also enjoy the roasted red pepper and goat cheese bruschetta as well as the warm artichoke and walnut pesto bruschetta plus the tomato, basil, pesto and mozzarella bruschetta. There are a bunch of other flavors I haven't tried but I'm sure they're delicious! My other go-to is the Angel Hair Rustico which is always good but more spicy sometimes than others.

Good tasty options and a cozy, pleasant atmosphere. It had an air of fanciness but seemed flexible related to dress code.
